FAN EMAIL REACHES UNEXPECTED LEVEL!

The studio release news today that fan email for Season 4 has reached a number beyond the staffs capability of reviewing or screening them all. The studio added that fan email has been accumulated from eight different countries, with a larger concentration from Germany & Sweden.

The large numbers of fan email have not detoured the studio from continuing forward in trying to respond to each and every one of them. The director/creator believes that the recent increase of fan correspondence is due to the recent sneak trailer which posted online earlier this month, which presented a plethora of acquired talent for Season 4's big debut in December.

The studio retained the powerhouse acting skills of most of the original cast, but also acquired the return of Matthew Jasso for the role of "Arthur McAdams," in which he received accolades from Internet fans during his outlandish and dashing performance at the end of the third season. Adding to that, the studio also acquired the elite acting prowess of Melissa Dawn Smith to the shows arsenal of talent, which will only increase the action environment planned during the darkest season the show has planned for fans.

Another new elite addition is Shannon Kummer, who is sure to dazzle the intellectually minded fan into a realm of deep cerebral philosophy. The director stated that Shannon's performance has made the 'real secret" of show more plausible for the fans to accept than ever before.

What may also catch series fans is the sudden growth of core cast of Brittany Clark and Angelica Grayson who have now entered their High School years in real life. Both have matured fabulously into talented women who still have a strong commitment to completing the series as planned.

The two young leading ladies have endured the vigorous Texas heat during production this season, but continue to deliver marvelously under constant pressure and schedule changes. The director added that the entire cast has been diligent in giving their best performances for the show at each taping, which has foretold a dark future for their characters in the last season of the show. The director added, that if this IS the final season of the series, you would never see it in the actors eyes.

Season 4 has been painstakingly put together via means never before attempted by the studio; especially since the show first entered a "PG" Rating which has now been immediately escalated to "PG-13."

Much of the reasons for the rise in the shows rating came from some of the fight sequences which were choreographed and edited by Jasso, which added an aggressive level of action which has evaded the show in its previous seasons. The director said that, "Jasso's entry into the series not only brought a new vision and depth to the 'Arthur' character, but also brought a level of professional, well thought out fight-choreography which has never been attempted by the studio," giving a level of action for every flavor of fan who may be watching the new episodes.

The studio also said that there will be many sequences of horror which might catch a few fans off guard, leading to a virtual taste for the unexpected in all areas of film making. A new trailer for the new season [set for release in November] is sure to give fans a good look at the darker, horrific view of what to expect this season. The director just hopes that fans will see the new episodes at night and alone, to get the better feel for what he intended in the writing of the last season.

But now as the new season draws nearer to its debut, there is still a lot of work for the cast and crew to do. The studio said that the cast will be working for the next six weekends to complete the remaining sequences for, not only the season debut, but most of the episodes which are to follow in January and February; i.e. the coldest months in South Texas. The director said that getting enough episodes completed now before the real start of winter is meant as a 'level of comfort' for the actors, to prevent them from working in the harshest winter months of the season...

...And that has brought many smiles to cast and crew!

SEASON 4 BEGINS DECEMBER 16, 2011!

The studio released news that the reformatted website will be the sole location to preview all future episodes in the series & that the series Facebook page would no longer post episodes on it's thread.

The reason for the new viewing format is to concentrate fan viewing on a centralized location for easier tracking, especially now that the series has reached out to a high number of fans through seven continents; many of whom do not have access to U.S. Facebook pages.

European countries have reported that "behind the scenes" information about the show cannot be accepted through normal channels there, forcing the studio to rethink the amount of information released to fans within the U.S. Thus far, the studio has confirmed that large numbers of new viewers have recently accumulated from the Netherlands & Russia.

News of the studios change in the Season 4 Premiere date was not received well by fans in the U.S., but fans in other countries liked the change in venue, apparently given them time to "catch up" in viewing the older season episodes.

Another unexpected chance in the show's format is the leap to a high "PG-13 Rating" which raised eyebrows at the latter end of Season 3 & will do more-so at the launch of the fourth season.

GEARING UP FOR A WILD SEASON

Behind the scenes, the cast & crew were all smiles on the set during the pre-production setups & preparations with screenplay, but in front of the camera there was everything but smiles & laughter. The cast received some of the darkest scripts to date, and even more importantly, the talk was about what secrets were finally going to be played to the fans.

Brittany Clark [Angelika], Angelica Grayson [Brianna], & Jessica Yanker [Sabrina] have their work cut out for them this season. Two are in high school now & the third is just hitting her mark; but all three are in their academic peak, so the production of episodes is going to be filled with "bulk shoots" throughout the fall and winter in what could be the series's final season.

Even with the show's impending end inching closer, the lead cast members would never show any fear or worry over their future in film work with the series. Each has acknowledged their respect for being in the limelight of the series for as long as they can remember, but with better things to follow.

And now, with the smiles growing even larger, the friendships have become stronger with an endless admiration with all of the hard work endured during their youth. Even with everyone on the set constantly asking one another, "has it already been four years?" the reality of the matter is the cast will be entering its four-and-a-half year mark in February.

So, What can fans expect from Season 4?
Through the master-actor performances of Matthew Jasso, there will definitely be a little more understanding and real character development with Arthur McAdams.

Jasso's entry into the series late last season showed a remarkable acceptance with the show's fan base, which was slightly seen during the beginning of the third season with the second actor replacing the role of the character.

David said that the importance of the character's own development was overlooked due to the estrangement of the actors who suddenly dropped their support of the series. But Jasso picked up brilliantly where others left off and has given the character of "Art" a brilliant edge for revealing his character's secret to his fans.

Will the return of Emma prove to be a large part of the show's plot?
David said that he always thought the role of Emma was an integral part of the show's mystery. With the recent addition of Melissa Dawn Smith to the arsenal of actors acquired to finish the series, even more so.

Melissa is one tough woman who is in incredible shape & whose acting talents are impeccably brilliant at every turn of the camera. She has definitely made quite an impression with David and her chemistry with Jasso absolutely has no bounds. It is no wonder to see why Jasso has chosen to work with Melissa at any turn where real chemistry is required to complete a project.

David added that Melissa's performance depth has given her the unique ability to play two parts in the series: a sort of a diabolical set of twins who will embark on a mission to destroy Art's work.

Asked if Melissa was up to the task, David said the idealism of writing action sequences for her part has already taken root, with Jasso choreographing several action sequences for the show this season.

David also reported the role of Emma would cross over several different plot lines in the show, providing further evidence that an evil side of the character was always intended in the character's development. With that, he added that since Melissa's entry into the series, the character has always been in the best hands.

There's rumor that Montgomery has taken a bigger step to help support the film. Is this true?
David said the "Town of Montgomery" has always supported the show's production efforts. He added that the series will present a "business-like" shift in the series to promote the agricultural nightmare being actually presented in the town in the form of a long summer drout.

One of the show's plot lines concerning a seasonal drout was lightly covered in the later episodes of Season 3; Art covered a possible "hybrid" grass seed which could save the state-wide economy by procuring large acreage of grass to feed the livestock, which in turn would lead to solid economic growth within the town.

This sequence of events could only be produced with the help of the Town of Montgomery opening its doors to help the series present the agricultural need of the "hybrid" within the show's plot line.

There've been rumors concerning the acquisition of new actors for the series. Is there a move by the studio to produce a "prequel" to the series?

David says, "Absolutely not." But the new season will present closure to several minor plot lines which occurred during the first and second seasons.

More importantly is the tale of Angela Gorman, who was apparently an important secret of the town just a few years prior to Angelika's arrival. Performed brilliantly by Shannon Kummer, the character's demise is going to be another mystery which has to be told in the latter episodes of the new season.

David adds that the addition of "Angela" will give the fans a clear indication that the series has to go to movie production status to close out her side of the show's plot. Whether it is something to dread or not for closure is not the issue at hand.

Get to the point, will there be a fifth season?
At this point, David plans to close out the Internet version of the series by February 2012; afterwards is anybody's guess. But David stands firm that the series will go into full feature films, set for the next two to three years.

The final Season of ANGELIKA5?

With a full feature film now on the way, it could be. After 3 years of presenting secrets & mysteries, the show is now entering it's fourth year deciding to show the truth behind all of the dark story telling which will reach a climactic end to, at least, the Internet series.

A magnificently talented cast returns to the series, headed by Brittany Clark & Angelica Grayson; both of whom have been in the series since it's debut in 2009. They carry a new line of episodes in the new season with the additional returning actors; Jessica Yanker, Saira Ramos, Maque Garcia, Matthew Jasso, Alan Berkowitz, Eddie Enriquez, & Mary King.

During the fourth season, the show will shed light on who the 'Vapor People' truly are, the origin of 'Ms. Rachael,' & the truth behind some of the mysterious murders & disappearances the show has briefly covered in it's tenure. But what is more important is the unveiling of a possible new spin off with younger actors portraying their older counterparts, but that just maybe a well-placed rumor.

In the fourth season also expect to see Melissa Dawn Smith, Shannon Kummer, Brianna Boucher, & Sydney Crofton, who have joined the show to complete what could be, the final season.

Bringing in the best acting talent for the 4th Season of the show meant that the studio would have to look outside of Houston's borders to find the perfect replacement for the character role of "Emma McAdams."

Melissa Dawn Smith came to the studio via the highest recommendation from Matthew Jasso, who worked with Melissa on several full-feature films & projects in San Antonio. I had seen a recent film where Melissa played an action-packed wife who spent her days as a Bounty Hunter. She had been well trained in hand-to-hand combat by Matthew & since the role of Emma was going to turn toward an element of action, I wanted an actress who could not only pull it off, but perform in front of the camera with professional finesse.

A greater part in the role of Emma would be the requirement of playing twins, who could either be or not be the late wife of Arthur McAdams - something that will be focused on in the story line of the last season of the show. Melissa didn't bat an eye to take the role of a lifetime. She had seen the series & wanted to be part of the magic which the show is notorious for producing over a three year period. Better yet, it was another chance for Melissa to work with Matthew again on camera, something they had not done since their last feature film, "BLACKLASH."
So, Melissa came out to Houston & immediately studied up for the part she was taking over. She knew that she would have the opportunity to expand on other aspects of the character this season, & better yet, take the role to an all new level of action through an evil twin. The counter part twin she portrayed very recently was that of "Silvia Tempest," an upper level Executive who is in charge of developing new biological technologies in Texas Agriculture.

Melissa was a powerful, impressionable professional to see in action. She performed on a level which I have never seen from any actress in town=proving that she is an elite quality which is sure sought after in San Antonio. Even now, she is working on other full feature projects & just completed wrapping up one film project this past week prior to working on Angelika5 (A5).

She is naturally a great-looking woman who doesn't require anything extra to present her confidence, leading anyone to see that her on-camera performances demand respect. Her performance as "Emma" has upgraded the character's quality, which I felt was often limited during prior representations. After seeing Melissa & Matthew in action, I was awestruck in watching how two talented actors with real chemistry gradually performed their parts with remarkable chemistry.

We are very fortunate to bring in some of the best talent from San Antonio to the show here in Montgomery, building a bridge to many future projects between both cities. I am sure that A5's quality production in bringing Melissa's "Emma" character to the show & presenting it for all to see, will surely raise a few eyebrows from fans.

The show is now lacking little in the acting department, from this point on it's all about what we can produce as a team.

SEASON 4 SNEAKS A PEEK!

The studio released production stills on the ANGELIKA5 (A5) Facebook Fan Page of the work in progress for the new season of the series. Many fans are going to be a little surprised that the first episode of the new season will shed light on a lot of secrets which were presented throughout the show's run. But in the eyes of the director/creator, that is only the beginning!

Very recently, the scripts to the show have changed, giving birth to a new idea that Season 4 just won't be another season for the show, but that the new line of episodes will be the guideline for the much anticipated A5 movie leaning towards production. David has said that the line of cast members has been downsized, done to force the plot outlines to unfold at an ever increasing tempo between episodes & to focus on individual performances & character development. And with a downsized cast will come a few new faces to the show.

The first is Shannon Kummer who will portray "Angela Goreman," a teenager from a predominantly religious family who mysteriously disappeared a few years prior to Angelika's arrival into the town. Of course, the character of Angela has a part in an old secret [from Season 1] which has yet to be revealed, but one which will open many more doors to the idea that things in this town are more than what they might appear to be.

Shannon will be assisted by Brianna Boucher who will play a younger "Sabrina" & new comer Sydney Crofton who will take the part of a younger "Brianna," & whose misadventures in town will have many affects on the future timeline of the show's main plot. Brianna & Sydney have their work cut out for them over the line of five episodes, as they have to study all of the previous episodes & assimilate the acting styles of their "older" cast mates: something which was accomplished on their first day of work this past weekend.
The role of "Angela" will have some fans contemplating the future of Angelika McAdams; who has seemingly had problems staying conscious, fighting headaches, & seeing ghostly people that only she can see or hear. Angela's life in the town of Montgomery was much the same, as she will prove to be a deciding factor for partaking in the birth of many of the towns previous mysteries & Urban Legends. Kummer's work with the studio has been reported by the crew as "perfect & remarkable," giving way to the idea that her entry into the show cannot be denied.

Taking a stroll through the past is only a start for the 4th season of the show. David said that the series will also start taking a look into the future as well; showcasing a possible future which could spell certain doom for the world we currently live in. He added that the characters of Angelika & Angela will hold all of the answers in the end, providing a sensational ending to the series run on the Internet.
The series Season 4 Premiere will launch on September 16th. The entire cast & crew are ready for this new big look into the show's plot line. The initial episode will preview some interesting views of each character's background & growth over the show's four year run. It can be said that for the first time in 3 years, most of the cast are aware of what to expect this season. They are very excited for the season to start & are pondering what stroke of the pen in the storyline awaits their progress on the show.

There is no doubt that the studio has left the best parts of the series for last. Get ready for one wild ride this season!

THE RISING STORM

With an additional set of new actors, the last season of the ANGELIKA5 [A5] series is starting to shape up to be a powerhouse of talented presentations; bolstering an action packed end to the show.
For over three successful years the series has been carried by Brittany Blark, Angelica Grayson, Maque Garcia, Saira Ramos, & Mary King; each mastering their performances over time and gaining a strong foot hold with viewers. But their performances were assisted by various local talent that passed through the confined of the shows story arc, which also helped in building a long term kin ship with the local acting community.

The director/producer D. R. Quintana said that the series is now passing into full-feature film production, in essence, taking the next big step in bringing the series towards a larger audience and market. And where most of the series has been produced in 20 minute episodes, the studio is now considering longer "episodic" versions of the show to help deliver a stronger concept to the plot line.

Having the series online and accessible to anyone on the Internet has given the series a free viral effect with open networking. Since the 2009 launch of the series, A5's top market viewers has been Europe [deep Germany & France], followed closely by the United States and Australia. The studio says that the show seems to be favored overseas due to the extensive presentation of natural woods, rivers, streams, and an overall 'small town' feel which is rarely presented by productions in other film projects.

However, even with such a strong fan base of over 1.7 million fans worldwide, the series has yet to catch the eye of larger potential. The studio says that most Internet projects which follow the same guidelines have only been successful because of a smaller "Independent industry" producing Internet based shows or series, but that the A5 series still yields good strength with the option to step into a larger production format. As to whether the move into feature films will bring true success to the franchise, the studio is only hoping to spread the existence of the four years series to a larger venue of viewers.

As of now, the Independent series has enough potential to continue production into a 5th season, should the studio choose to do so. The veteran cast is certainly willing to go the distance, especially since most of the main cast members are still in their youth & dying for a chance to see where the franchise can go with the plot lines. The studio has been tight lipped about the series' future endeavors after the release of the feature film. But there is a sign of remarkable possibilities with the recent extension of a spin-off with BIANCA:2029 & another new planned series which has been currently been put on hold.

David says that the impending push for new projects demand a studio-type "Internet channel" or possible new website to promote all of the online series for viewers. He said that the idea to produce a "Q Storm" Internet station has been discussed with WOLFE Entertainment of Virginia for implementation in the near future. The studio is planning several meetings with Houston investors next week to start work on moving the field of operations to the Woodlands, where Q Storm Productions will be based for an interim period.

The studios move to the Woodlands will not disrupt production on A5 in Montgomery or Tomball; but will affect the productions to other studio productions set for the Fall. Q Storm has been contemplating a move of locations since late 2009, but nothing was settled on until very recently, after the studio attained sponsorship with the Dr. Pepper Corp. for Season 4. David said that the creation of a new office will inspire better business ventures for the studios increasing notoriety within the filming & acting communities.

David added that many of the 'unseen' successes of the A5 series have been the proving point for investors & sponsors when a bid was up for support. The studio has received so much recognition by the local communities for the four year long production, which has proved time & time again the strong possibilities of working through the Internet to spread the news of supporting towns which have a wealth of untapped locations; the series used over 17 different locations in Montgomery County alone in the past year.

Asked whether Q Storm will facilitate sponsorships supporting of other studios outside of the local community, David replied, "I am not someone to ever jump onto the band-wagon and there are plenty of studios here in Houston who need help getting projects started and getting their names out in the field of Independent Films. Some feature[s] from sources outside of this town have done pretty good just to get here, but the towns money needs to stay with projects here; everyone wants to support a film from outside of Houston to ride the band wagon, but in the end it proves nothing. No 'connections' are really made, no real success is brought forth...its just another good attempt at wasting time, trying to make a name for yourself when the limelight is with someone who has already made it in Hollywood....so I guess my answer is no."

The studio will launch the Season 4 premiere on September 16th.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN SEASON 4

With the 3rd season of the series starting to bring the pieces together, there are still many questions which have to be answered. Fans are expecting a great finish to the series which has taken four years to complete & the director is planning to deliver a great resolve to most of the series secrets.

WHO IS COMING BACK?
All of the primary cast members are returning for the final season. Brittany Clark [Angelika], Angelica Grayson [Brianna], Jessica Yanker [Sabrina], Maque Garcia [Holly], Saira Ramos [Ms. Rachael], Eddie Enriquez [James], Mary King [Det. Blair], Kacey Kelly [Bianca], RaCayle Eppes [Tanna], Rainey Beaumier [Howitzer] & Michael Garcia [Det. Vincent]. They have consitently been a great set of professional talent in front & behind the camera. With the finish line so close in the horizon, all are ready to bring forth their best performances for a spectacular ending to the online series, then take the rest to the big screen.

WHO IS NEW FOR SEASON 4?
Matthew Jasso [Arthur], Mika Brooks [Kari-Anne], Ashlyn Redwine [Younger Sabrina], Sydney Crofton [Younger Brianna], Shannon Kummer [Andrea], Emily Thompson [Samantha] & Melissa Dawn Smith [Emma]. Their entry into the series will be paramount to close out some plot lines which were left wide open in the 3rd season. The addition of the plot line between Jasso & Smith will conclude the ominous dream sequences & nightmares between Art & Emma; leading to more mystery over the appearance of Emma & a possible evil twin. Redwine & Crofton are being brought to the series to tell the story of a possible homicide that happened a few years prior to Angelika's arrival to Montgomery; this variation of youthful insight will also be brought into the ANGELIKA5 movie.

WHAT TRULY HAPPENED TO BRIANNA?
Grayson has done marvelous playing both "Good" & "Evil" Brianna throughout the shows run. Last that most remember about Season 2, saw the real Brianna being drug into a closet by a Vapor Person; with an evil look-alike taking her place & causing tons of havoc with red glowing eyes. The truth will definitely set things in motion, revealing who in the town are the sheep, who are the wolves & who are standing guard in an attempt to keep the town alive.

The focus of the 4th Season will be the training involved by unseen forces to prepare for a huge war that looms ahead. Brianna's part in the series could forge a new angle to the plans laid down before her. She will be given a choice to either follow the leader, or be the one that can change the way of thinking for everyone.
ARE THE DREAM SEQUENCES AN INSIGHT TO THE TRUTH?
More than most will ever know. In reality, most dreams are considered "Harbingers" of messages that have meanings in daily life. Many believe that if you can "decode" dreams, that you will have better control of what lies ahead tomorrow; the clearer the dream with colors, details & feeling, the more important the "code" is. So far in each dream sequence, Holly [Maque Garcia] has been tied up with yellow rope, wearing the same clothes & placed in some sort of danger. Each time she has had nothing nice to say about Art, except that "he's probably at home watching TV."

The dreams have also opened in the same manner, a short introduction of a dark character [Arthur], a long walk through a tunnel of woods, & then a sudden awakening of a problem that lie ahead. How Art makes his entry into each dream is just as important as trying to wake up, which happened during the latter part of Season 3. So the question is, was Arthur trying to fall into sleep or fall out of it?

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE ACTORS PORTRAYING THE ROLE OF ART?
Some fans mayhave seen a fine line between the secret of the show & how the character of "Arthur McAdams" has never really been given the chance to develop. Both facets of this spectrum are true. At times the character has been mysterious, dark & dry; then a more dramatic, melancholy & subservient preview; to now seeing a real, humorous avenue of a man.

The past actors who have taken the role did their parts splendidly & then decided to part from the series on their own terms. The studio has been lucky finding different [but consistent] actors to portray the character of Art; unwittingly giving birth to the idea of the shows secret, which will be revealed sometime in the mid-portion of the storyline & plot of Season 4.

Jasso's entry into the series has been a smooth transition, giving a strength to the presentation of the character not seen since the beginning of Season 3. He is working harder to better understand the character & the plot to better facilitate the overall dealing of Art's story, which has had more turns & arcs than it needed to. Jasso is a determined professional & wants only the best for his character to be accepted & marveled at the same time; he's going to up the ante this season & I suspect his performance will inspire the series to an all new level of entertainment.
WAS EMMA REAL OR WAS SHE A DREAM?
We truly hoped to open the doorway to a whole new plotline with Emma during Season 3, but due to some unfortunate circumstances, we were never given the chance. I didn't want to just let this part of the show die out without any explanation. So, I struggled with the idea of re-casting the role & then saw a light at the tunnel after watching Melissa Dawn Smith's performance in the Indy feature "BLACKLASH" with Matthew Jasso.

They both had great chemistry on the big screen & I truly admired the fact that Melissa's presence in front of the camera is spectacular in each project she works in. She has a great look & is very comfortable with her self awareness. Contacting her for the part was a little extreme for me, since she lives in San Antonio & I felt that most of the talent in Houston could not play the part to my level. So, I was willing to deal at any level to bring her down to play a role. She seemed genuinely excited to do it & to work with Mattew again.

So now with Melissa's help, Emma will get the closing I wanted; & as it has played out so many times in the show, there is always a dark side which will play out to the fans before Emma leaves for good. So don't be surprised if the series takes a sudden, dark turn in the middle of Season 4.
WILL THE LOCATIONS FOR SEASON 4 REMAIN THE SAME?
As with the main actors, all of the same locations have been preserved for one more season. The Lightsey, Grayson, & Scardino Ranches are more than excited to bring the last season of the series into fruition, especially since there are no plans in blowing anything up. But after the new season wraps & the series dives into feature film production, none of the old locations will be used.

END NOTE - Well folks, that's all that I can write about for now. We plan on presenting some previews of the new season through photos & a few Behind The Scenes (BTS) interviews at a later time. Keep in mind that I am aware that there may be some questions that I didn't cover in this blog posting, but more will be revealed in a "step-by-step, episode-by-episode" breakdown which will accompany every new release during the final season.

SEASON 3 FINALE

Well, we've reached another pinnacle...so, closing out year 3.5 & entering year 4 is going to be one heck of a ride! The third season was a bumpy ride for the cast, crew, & the studio.

Many fans witnessed episode delays, but the quality of each episode progressively got better & as we were gifted with the talents of some temporary additional actors who came to the show & brought plot lines to new heights of excitement. But as the viewers will see in the Season Finale, all of that is about to change.

Season 3 was a launching pad for some new online series & films which are now starting to sprout from the production of Angelika5. Since Season Four will be the last season for the series, we decided to plan some spin-offs which will have a limited run to close out story lines & plots which won't be covered in the Angelika5 series during it's final season run.

As the series begins it's countdown in episodes to a climactic end, fans should rest assured that the series will fall into full feature films which will begin production at the end of July. The cast & crew are very excited about the prospect of taking the series to an all new level, finishing up a plot line & story which will have viewers guessing to the very end about how the series will finish up.

This past week, I re-watched episode 31 & edited for the final time. It has been a joy to see Brittany, Angelica, & Jessica grow up in front of the camera,& they are determined to present their best dark work in Season 4. They understand that we have a monumental task of tying up a lot of loose ends, but the hard work will present its best value when we begin work on the film[s] which are planned over the next 4 years.

The rest of the original core cast members who professionally held on; Maque, Saira, Mary, Amber, are going to return in Season 4 to continue the level of production which has made such a strong impression on the Houston film community; whether other film makers liked the show or not, the series trudged on through some tough diversity & a little inner drama - which is moot to bring up now.

But I can promise everyone this...the final season will reveal all of the secrets, bring out the best of what the show was intended to present, and most importantly, prove that the bond formed between the cast members during the production, exceed any product ever produced in Texas.

EPISODE DELAYS?

Most of February was without episode releases, widely due to a change in the show's cast. The cast & crew are back up to speed with new cast members & a fierce devotion to completing the series by Summer.
With only a few episodes remaining in Season 3, the series will begin to shed light on plot lines established early in Season 2. Brittany Clark's performance as "Angelika" has escalated into a firm presentation of how the plotline was intially written to progress. And with the show's fan base now embracing the characters real, "learning" behavior, the show will now strive to show the characters true potential as a "super being."

Brittany has been waiting a long time for the chance to have the character progress into having "super powers" & produce work with special effects & various little stunts. As excited as she is, the production will still look at things carefully before proceeding to the higher level of bringing action to the series.

After all, the series has been a development about bringing a "super hero" edge to the online series, with twists & turns within it's plotslines to confuse the viewer during the long run of the show. The director felt that without a good set of stories, the reason for having "powers" would be lost if the series had just jumped into the main plotline of the show.

But where plots are involved, the peception of who Angelika's parents truly are, will also finally be revealed. One of the core actresses to the franchise is Maque Garcia [a.k.a. Holly McAdams], who has been more than devoted to the series even after having her counterpart actors step away during the middle of production.

"She's a workhorse of talent" says director/producer David Quintana, "And she has proven time and time again that she came to the show to promote a professional atmosphere in front and behind the camera. Male actors are intimidated by her beauty, but she's earned great respect for being able to acutally pull off the impossible task of having the edge to stick with a project and not loose herself to her own vanity."

Even after the recent departure of actor Larry Carrell, Maque has remained diligent & focused in her performances as a new actor has now been cast to fill the role of "Arthur McAdams," her on-screen husband. Great things lay ahead for the character of Holly & Maque deserves the chance to prove that she is a strong lead in the show.

Another core actress who will get her chance at proving her acting prowess is Mary King [a.k.a. Det Blair], whose character plot line of uncovering the truth behind three unsolved murders will finally be solved by the new Sheriff in town.

"Mary always has fun in front of the camera" adds David, "If there's ever been a patient and mature minded soul on the set, Mary has proven to be more than fair about how she's felt on the set with her peers. Her performance as a detective demands attention from the viewer, something she did completely on her own."

With the investigation of the series murders coming to a close, the show will start aiming at the return of the "Vapor People" & their plot to overtake the town of Montgomery. The VP's have remained quiet throughout the 3rd season, but the director promises that all of that will change with the final episodes leading up to the Season Finale.

The cast & crew are excited about the progression of episodes to close out the season which the series is now inching toward. With a new set of "Rex Morgan" dream sequences also approaching - which could result in a new series spinoff - the season ending episodes are sure to bring a new line of attention to the series fans.

There's been a careful approach to the production of episodes at the latter half of the current season. A leading actor bowed out from the show, leaving the studio to audition a new actor to fill the empty spot. But the studio boasts that it's still "business as usual" on the sets & the cast has accepted the new actor with a positive attitude.

And if there's been any apprehension as to whether the build up for the Season 3 Finale between cast members, you would never know it. The fans will learn that the long wait will be worth it, adding to a real fact that many fans will be a little upset with the events which will unfold, as some of the characters they might adore will not return for the 4th & final season of the series.

A heavy production schedule has now been mandated by the producer, leading many of the actors to accept that a lot of hard work lies ahead to close out this season. But one thing is still left in the air; with most of the shows secrets being revealed in the latter episodes of this season, which secrets remain to be explained in Season 4?

As we now enter the last year of series production, you have to be wondering how the series will finish out the third season & enter the fourth. Well, the wondering won't take long as the final episodes in the third season are going to disclose a lot of secrets to the show. But not all at once.
The cast & crew are already hammering the remaining episodes to Season 3, where most of which were filmed in late May & in early September to make room for other projects which were planned out by the studio & various actors on the show during the Christmas break. And doest the studio think that the fans were waiting for new episodes? In January, the 26th episode posted to a large number of viewers; something definitely not expected by the studio after such an unusually long break in the series.

There has been a presence of true excellence during the filming of new episodes this year. All of the newer actors in the show [i.e. Jessica Yanker, Mac McStravick, Kacey Kelley, RaCayle Eppes for example] have had their opportunity this season to present their true talents on the big screen, with other newly acquired actors that are sure to follow.
This season, the studio says that the success of the production has mainly been due to the return visits to several shooting locations that fans have taken a strong liking for. "The Lightsey Ranch is still a huge fan favorite" says David Quintana, the series Director/Producer, "the various sites that we have successfully presented within the shows production format have made a real connection to those who have followed the shows progress over time".

And with that, numbers don't lie. The series has already reached out to a near-million fans over seven different countries, since the initial release of Season 3. The series Facebook Page & online magazine has been visited by record numbers of fans who continually peruse by to see any information being released by the studio. David says that most of the time, visitors not only watch a new episode three to four times, but that much of the Internet traffic stops by the countless number of production stills released by the studio in almost a weekly basis.

Another proven fan favorite has been the young actors which make up about 80% of the shows cast. The teenage actors have individually produced more hours online than most local veteran actors in Houston have presented work in front of the camera their whole career. Whether or not this fact is sparking a debate amongst local veterans is unclear, but the facts seem to make the point that having a successful online series has it's advantages.

Furthermore, the shows actors have more production stills posted online than most actors have in their portfolios. Another dubious reason why the studio has garnered a strong reputation for having such an immense idea when it came to creating the show.

As for the new year, Season 3 is just now entering the darker phase of its designed plot. Many fans will be stunned at the shows season finale' where the series will guide itself towards a full feature presentation after Season 4. David added that the series will deliver BIG this year & that the shows action & drama will leave many fans flabbergasted as the series ends its long four year run.

"Who will make it to the feature film will be the biggest debate?" added David, the bigger question is, "will the shows BIG secret be revealed before the online series ends?"...that remains to be seen.

On the eve of reaching out to almost 1 million fans world wide, the studio is planning to move the series to a new location by the end of January 2011 & two communities in Houston have made it clear where they'd like to studio to set up shop. So now Kemah & Tomball, TX are the locations that are proving to be the top locations for the future of the studio & the series.
With so many prosperous projects now looming in the near future, David has decided that Montgomery just doesn't have the facilities & community support to keep future projects alive. The future of the Angelika5 (A5) series remains stable, but the locations for the show have remained outside of Montgomery county; a high percentage of the Season 3 episodes have been filmed in Waller, Tomball, & in the Woodlands.

At the beginning of Season 2, the studio was stunned to learn that movie supporters in Kema, TX were more than happy to have the series shoot scenes at the infamous Kemah Boardwalk. The organization there even offered the studio a lucrative deal to continue working in the city as a "base of operations" during the remaining run of the show.

With the number of tourists increasing in the local area, a real eagerness for Kemah to provide a broad range of opportunities; which included top investors, promotional opportunities, & city wide support, made their offer a hard package to pass up; at the time, the studio had made a year long obligation to keep the series in Montgomery for the remaining season run.

The studio had planned a series to be produced in Kemah last Winter, the series was entitled "Immortal Legions" and was to star Briannah Korin, Shelley Boozer, & Jessica Sauer. David says that the project has been temporarily shelved until next Fall, when Shelley is able to return to full-time acting jobs. Re-training for the dark mini-series should start back up in late Spring & the studio plans to ensure that the entire series is filmed in the town of Kema.

David added that Kema had a wide variety of diverse locations required to keep A5 running in the current format, adding to it the attractive prospect of having a larger pool of investors & potential advertisers for the studios future projects. Something that he feels is lacking the sparse small town of Montgomery.

Through several successful film festivals & small independent film conventions, Tomball has also jumped on the idea of wanting to lure successful film productions into the town. Very recently, the existence the A5 series being shot withing their town limits was a bright surprise for the town officials, when the studio required permission to prepare for a large action scene in the town. Learning that the series will continue to shoot more episodes in the town up until the end of next year intrigued the officials, giving them the opportunity to talk to David about making Tomball the home of operations until 2012; also willing to provide studio locations & potential investors for the show.

David insisted that even in the light of moving the studios locations, that the cast & crew of the series would remain "as-is" until the series ends it's episodic run later next Winter. Two proven locations in Montgomery; those being the "Lightsey Ranch" & the "Branding Iron", would remain the head stay for the show until the last episode posts online.

The cast & crew are excited about the progress we are maintaining this season. Even though most of the sequences to this season were shot last May, then sporadically through the summer, and into August, the cast has maintained crisp performances when needing to return to old scenes for reshoots.

We've gained ground where we once lacked substance. Things are starting to change & everyone on the set can feel that we have an even flow about how we are going to take action on the next set of scenes. Being the director/producer, I still have to set standards & hope that the actors & I can reach them this season. Everyone has stepped up & I am grateful that we have had only a few bumps on the road this season.

The list below is only but a smidgen of talent that has surprised me so far this season. Other names will eventually be added to the list, so if one of your favorites isn't listed, rest assured they will show up at a later time.

LOCATIONS - We've been pretty lucky on holding some of the "secret locations" into the production for as long as we have. At the Lightsey Ranch, the old pier finally gave in & crashed into the lake. Larry & I scrambled to re-write some of the old scenes, to hold off production efforts at the lake until a new pier was built. The owner, Warren Lightsey, has been a strong supporter of the show & he put a lot of personal effort into ensuring that we could continue to shoot there. There is no place like the Lightsey Ranch in any studio film production in Houston; & we still retain the only film studio to have rights to shoot there.

The Grayson Ranch has also been a strong mainstay to the series. Maintained by Richard Grayson & his lovely wife Alecia, shooting there has been a breathtaking experience as we have caught some of the best sequences of the show there. There is no doubt that without the Grayson Ranch location, the show would have faltered during the initial phases of production.
BRITTANY CLARK - She has taken the role of Angelika to an unexpected level. Until recently, she was not allowed to show any emotion in the series; which seemingly limited her acting abilities in front of the camera. She's bright & attentive, likes to have fun on the set between takes, & takes the role of being a leading lady very seriously. She has grown so much in the two years she's been on the show, forcing me to make minor changes in the scripts when we go from scene to scene. She knows me well enough to give me her input, & even now she is given a good ear when she questions the delivery in the scripts or movements in front of the camera. She knows that the role of Angelika is starting to get more serious & that this show isn't about kids playing some game.
ANGELICA GRAYSON - The fans haven't seen much from her this season...& that's for good reason. The real "punch" expected this season is purposely being held back until the last several episodes in the series. Angelica is a powerhouse actress whose work demands a lot more attention than Angelika5 can present for her. She is recognized for her part in the series for her strong personality & emotional portrayal of Brianna. Behind the camera, she takes my scripts & rewrites them at will to ensure that her character is presented in a "real" way. Angelica has also took part in co-directing, & at times, to control of some scenes; all of which were done in a non-joking manner. She's ensured continuity from season to season, & if it weren't too much to ask, she's also taken the time to stand back, listened & learn from senior actors on the set, all while still remaining a growing teen at heart.
MAQUE GARCIA - I've been more impressed that she's gotten physical in her role this season, more than I assumed she might. She's always communicated openly with me about what she is willing to do, wanting to do, more than what she is not. There's a serious fire in her delivery & I really enjoy watching her perform in the light of being the damsel in distress. There's always this "no way" mentality in my mind that Maque would never seriously put herself in harms way in a real dangerous situation, but to write her character of Holly being so vulnerable seems to add a new dimension into Maques acting. She is diligent as an actress & still a bombshell of a model to work with on the show.
JESSICA YANKER - She's got the fever for acting, taking part in other film projects in town & is now taking drama in school. She is so proud to work & her momentum is just starting to take root. I like working with her because she listens, performs, & tries her best each time. She is well prepared, serious about her job, & likes to see the progress of what she's done. Jessica's part as "Sabrina" was a calculated risk; due to the sole reason of replacing the previous actress so early in the development of the character, but she delivered with an unpredictable splendor that I did not expect in front of the camera. She is still growing, she's still hungry to learn more, & those are dangerous combinations.
SAIRA RAMOS - There's no need to explain faults which may arise with her performances, because there aren't any. Saira was the first walk-on actor on the show & she's developed an edge to her performances as "Ms. Rachael" that has helped her breakout as a respected actress & is now being asked to perform on other projects in town. She & I have a running gag about me writing great parts for her character, then giving them to someone else. But seriously, Saira has come a long way in a short time; & I promised her that I wouldn't mention the fact that she still has the lead in all of the on set "bloopers" on the show. She's devoted herself to the craft of acting getting better & better each time she's performed in front of the camera, now she's a solid actor heading down the road of success at full steam.
MARY KING - Her performance as "Detective Blair" in Season 3 has really become a sharp, crisp representation of an actor who has had plenty of time to self evaluate herself & put forth a grand performance, even through some of the toughest scene changes we've encountered so far. After initially wrapping up her scenes in August, an actress bailed out & we were forced to reshoot three important scenes for the "Blair" plot line. Diligently, Mary returned to the set, did an even better job on her role & also took the time to assist the replacement actress on the scenes we had to re-do. Her devotion to the series has been essential to the success of keeping her character in the spotlight & quickly booming into a fan favorite on the show.
MAC MCSTRAVICK - He came to the show claiming to have limited knowledge about working in front of the camera, but he's done an excellent job in taking the part of the already established "Chuck Mason" & making it a reflection of his own life. He's a natural & he has the spirit to take his character to all new heights. There's a seriousness about him which makes him a little more humorous when he does the smallest things in front of the camera. He's been solid at being prepared & his natural Southern accent helps him in making the delivery of "Chuck" the right person for the part. I am very proud to have him on the show.
KACEY KELLEY - One of the newest walk-on's who's made a valuable impression on me since the first time I started to work with her on the show. There was a lot of trust in my decision to give her the nod for the role of "Bianca Wolfe" - a character that I have been trying to bring to life on film for over 8 years. Kacey is a rugged "cowgirl" who is all attitude & shows that she can be tough & a woman at the same time. Due to starting school near Amarillo, she has a tough schedule in staying with the show, but I am aiming to prove that every time she works with me in front of camera that Kacey's going to do something to blow fans away. She has the right attitude & edge to break into Hollywood.
DANNY GALLEHUGH - He's an interesting man, having just about as many secrets in his life as I have in my own. We're both military men who have seen real action & spit blood in the heat of battle. Whenever we're together we share great stories, leaving those around us perplexed with what we've done in our short lives. Danny also has a great imagination & a solid gift for adding the little details to make things seem more real in the shows planned action sequences. Danny, Larry, & I work great together. There is no doubt that Danny is on the high road to success & it's just a matter of time before he gets there.
REX MORGAN - Since the dream sequences started on the show, the fans have been in an uproar to see more. The idea was a little bit of Larry's & a lot more of Danny's idea to bring it down to the show. I put together the sequences & locations down to paper & before you knew it, we were all grinning at one another about the "magic in the bottle" we stumbled on. If we had our way, we'd start production on an entire series about Rex Morgan, but we have a long way to go before we get started talking about that.

THE FINAL EVALUATION - Things are starting to fall in line as expected. The fans are surprised that the series is taking a daring new leap into a higher show rating; & no one is complaining. I expect the series to dig deep into the suspense & drama that will keep fans up through the end of the series. We have a passing grade from fans & local critics now; it's only a matter of time before the right people see the show & we will make a mark in the great state of Texas!

FIRST GLANCE AT SEASON 3

The show has maintained steady ground with fans since the start of the new season. I perceived a bumpy road this season, due to the initial failure of presenting a special preview of the series full feature premier in September; something I promised to the local fan ship this past summer.
But the fans have proved me & the critics wrong by still being able to follow the various story lines with little to no apprehension in the series limited film format. With another season break filled with cast changes, co-producer woes, & re-shoots of scenes, it's a complete wonder to me that things worked out so well. Season 3 has already surpassed viewing numbers reached during the first two seasons & the city of Houston [& a large majority of its filming community] is more than aware of the existence of the show; whether they want to admit it or not.
I think there is a definite "sting" that some studios feel about the existence of Angelika5; not that we've actually landed on a level of solid success, but that we've successfully proven the power of a little idea through the simplest of production methods that "seem" easy to do, but no one else has yet to do it & match the success of what the series has been able to do over a long period of time; keeping people together.
But separating ourselves from other local & obvious short time projects, Season 3 hasn't even begun to show its true colors yet. Now entering the release date for Episode 25, I will assure fans & readers that the series is just on the edge of darkness; where we're going to find out what the heck is going on. The cast & crew know what is in store for the series in the near future, but it is still a long road to get there & there is much, much more work to do.
But lets get back to the difficult time of the Season 2 break. I figure that at this point the fans might be aching to know what happened to get things started on the wrong foot this time, as I have never been one to keep secrets from the fan base, nor the critics who are especially still not clear about what has kept this show going. I will be blunt, because that's how I roll.
First, I acquired a string of actors that were trained by a certain "acting coach" from LA. Only about 10% stuck to a professional attitude as an actor & worked on the series as promised. The others backed out of the series on nearly their shooting dates, costing me some severe discomfort &, of course, production funds. Don't get me wrong, everyone has the right to walk away, but if its a group effort & plans have been made to progress into a project, there should be a better way to approach leaving than just "seemingly" arrange a walkout to force a project to possibly fail. Granted, each actor had a good reason for not being able to participate in the series, but I was overwhelmed how all of the actors jumped the ship just about at the same time. The funny thing is that only a scantly few ever had strong roles in their past, some thing that I was willing to change for them in giving them important parts to the series.
Was it deliberate?...who cares! The point of the matter is that they were replaced & the show went on without them. They only helped in delaying the series by a week & after all of the drama which arose through their previous projects, I can only wonder if "drama" is all that most of them learned through their acting school. That is my opinion, solely because I have used actors from other, more credible acting coaches here in Houston & each has kept to their word in doing great performances on the show & proving their talents in front of the camera...thank you Deke Anderson for training the best actors in town! [that's my first blog shout out!]
But now were at an impasse. With the mass of the cast still rolling on to bring you GREAT entertainment, the series carries on, there's a lot of action, suspense, drama, & comedy still to come your way...and don't be alarmed if you see some very special "Guest Stars" appear on the show in Mid-December...I am sure that you will agree that just seeing a real Hollywood Legend on this show will take us to an all new level of success!

NEW CAST MEMBERS

Two new Houston actors have joined the series this season. Both are talented individuals who were brought in to fill some big shoes in the series & both are very excited to get their start on the popular online series which is starting to get a wide spread of respect from the local film community for it's long running success.

The first to join the cast is Liz Joyner, a model that I had the privilege to shoot during an extensive makeup photoshoot prepared by Katie Carlson & her fast growing company BlushYou Makeup Artist. Liz will taking the role of FBI Agent Loren, who was originally portrayed by another actress who stepped out of the role just days before the start of Season 3.

Bringing the vibrant new actress to the series was a definite lucky negotiation between Liz's busy model schedule, work, and school. I really like the fact that she is extremely photogenic, serious looking, & a perfect addition to the young cast of actors that we are constantly in search of to make the series a "generation" heavy employment of upcoming talent.

So far, Liz has performed her role brilliantly & with a little humorous vigor that I was hoping to catch in front of the camera. She has a great attitude & always gives her best effort, even when she's being attacked by a swarm of mosquito's in a dark & damp abandoned home.

Liz is also great friends with Racayle Epps, who plays Tanna Amvet in an upcoming episode of the series. Both are always on the set together, giving each other support & also sharing laughs over bloopers during screenplay. Both are welcomed additions to the series & I am sure that their presence will help bring in a strong rush of fans to help boost support for the series run in the third & fourth seasons.

The next newest addition to the series took an extensive search & a long time to set up, as schedules & personal projects on both ends prolonged our meeting. But after finally getting things straightened out, I was able to finally meet Mac MacStravick at a location near Tomball, TX.

Mac will be taking over the role of Charlie "Chuck" Mason in the series, a role played by another previous actor that stepped away from the series. Mac is very excited to take the monumental role which will take a larger role in the series later this season.

Mac will be working closely with Larry Carrel [a.k.a Art McAdams] & Jessica Yanker [a.k.a. Chuck's wild daughter "Sabrina"] this season. Both actors are excited to meet Mac on the set & are more than ready to help him feel welcomed to series, to help develop the character at the highest point possible for the breath taking season finale this season.

My meeting with Mac was a mind blowing experience as we both shared stories of our military back ground, our start in films & acting, willingness to strive for growth, & our sheer will to get the job done. Knowing that we had a lot in common made me feel like we had an instant connection.

His excitement after receiving his first script, asking the right questions to prepare his character, & his determination to make the character believable, were all the elements I needed to feel to know that I made the right decision to bring him to the show. A5 IS STREAMING???

Very recently, it was revealed to me that several "favorite" episodes of the series have been posted throughout the Internet as "streamable" links for quick downloads; most of the streamings were posted from out of country locations.

Of course, all of the links were made as a free access to anyone who desires a copy of the series uploaded on their computer. I think that the funny thing is, anyone can request a copy of their favorite episode from the studio at no cost. I am sure that some fans out there would like to see the crisp & clean version of their favorite episode; which might have deteriorated in it's HD qualities during upload to MySpace or Facebook.

The studio is planning to release a DVD/CD ROM version of the series, all presented in HD, 5.1 Studio Surround Sound, with extra footage & other little things that have never been presented online before; including Blooper Reels, hidden interviews, lost footage, never before seen pictures & production stills. I guess you can call it the "Directors Cut" of the Angelika5 Series.
But again, I am jumping ahead of myself. The series is presented in an open arena for viewing by anyone in the local area, nationwide, or the world for FREE. If you feel the need to have your favorite episode sent you via email, just ask - and I might throw something a little extra in the email for you.

MAQUE ON THE A5 MAG???

For Interested Fans - Maque Garcia will be on the October 2011 Special Cover of the QUANTUM STORM Magazine!
Very recently, the studio received some "interesting" traffic through our FaceBook page, most of which requested jpegs of the recent edition of our popular & growing online magazine. Issue 008 reached a high mark of request surpassing Issue 006 & 007, proving that the magazine is doing it's own job of keeping the fans updated with news, information, & spectacular photographic insights on the show.

And there's no doubt to admitting that the ever-so-glorious, Maque Garcia layout in the magazine & cover page also sparked a few more fans to read the new issue this past month. The studio had received several emails during the summer break, about our apparent lack of interviewing or placing Maque on the cover since we launched the insider news magazine eight months ago.

The truth is, Maque was a very busy woman & mother this past summer. Her family traveled out of country & she also spent a lot of time to herself preparing for the big season at hand. So, setting up a shooting schedule with this busy-body was almost a virtual impossibility. But when the opportunity arose, we took advantage of it, even if it meant taking pictures after a day of filming in the hot Texas sun.
But whatever the case is, Maque finishes up what she starts. The constant stretch from actress to model seems like an never ending twist in her life, but to her it seems to always revolve around her family. She makes the time to do what she likes around a centered home structure, & that seems to be the best medicine for her to feel appreciated outside of her home.

What I admire most about Maque is that she sticks to one project, ensuring her part in it is completed before moving on to the next one. I know that she's contacted on a regular basis for other projects, but she chooses to close one loop before going to the next. With Angelika5 she has been diligent in ensuring her parts are completed & she calls me whenever there's a question in her mind about jumping into another project outside of the show. She's a reserved professional, always doing the right thing for her reputation & for the people who have got her started on the road to success.
So, when I receive emails requesting magazine jpegs or more information about Maque part in the show, I know that most of the reason is due to the work that Maque provides out to the fans of the show. Sure, she's got the looks, but she also has the talent to take her places as an actress & that is where it counts in this arena.

Expect to see Maque in a music video this Fall, & then a chilling horror movie ["The Whistler"] with Eddie Enriquez that is planned for production in Mexico later next year. Either way, I am sure that fans will get to see Maque in a light that they've never seen her before.

PREMIERE AMBITIONS

Well, it couldn't have happened at a better time; even crunch time seems to have lost it's spark as we were unable to secure a location to preview the Season 3 Premiere episode to the cast, crew, & selected guests of the show. But know now that the show will continue on & post as planned, figuring that we'll save the "Premiere" edition for another time.
I'm so taken by the production methods we took to prepare in making the 1 hour 43 minute film, showing Houston for the first time [& all of the world for that matter] that we ARE ready to produce a full feature film at any time we choose. The cast & crew are excited to show their talents, & believe me, all of the work that they compiled for the Premiere was a strong combination of 20 hours of dubious performances in over five days time.
Breaking down the film in a simple set of words for you to entertain [& this is coming from my sons] the film is deemed "freaking awesome" & "something not expected at all". My kids were extremely moved by the dark entrance of Jeff Kelly [Danny Gallehugh], a psychotic Navy SEAL hell bent on breaking into a home & killing an innocent by-stander; extreme violence is something not seen on the show in previous episodes, but we figured that it was time to "up-the-ante" & bring a real "zip" to the show this season.

Kelly's entrance is matched up by the entrance of a new hero; Bianca Wolfe [performed by Kacey Kelly] who enters the show apparently looking for her long lost father in Montgomery. Some fans may remember that James Fuller [Eddie Enriquez] was carefully trudging in a dark hallway along with a little girl in Episode 12. The new season will shed light into the apparent "break in" & escape of the young girl in the hallway with a third party as rescuers.

And of course, what happened to the teen aged Brianna Fuller at the end of Season 2 & where is she now?...Well, like I said before with the previous plot lines, all of this & more will all be explained this season on Angelika5!

Leaving you in a cesspool of darkness is what good storytelling is all about. But to save you from the weak writing at the end of "LOST", I will ensure everyone that the entire cast of the series is NOT dead.

RIGHT DECISIONS HURT

Work on the new season of Angelika5 (A5) has proceeded far, far better than expected. I get the feeling that we've definitely got the attention of almost every film studio in town now; everyone on the heels of wanting to see what we've been up to.

I know that we have exceeded expectations now. We're starting to cross into uncharted territory & the fact that the show is starting to cross into a more "PG" oriented rating is definitely going to raise the eyebrows of a few local communities where the show has been filmed at. I was hoping that our change in directing episodes towards a more mature & grown up format would garner further favor from the 30-something crowd, something that I have always felt our fan base was lacking.
But, one of the biggest attributes that we're being heralded for is the dramatic performances by some of the finest actors in town. I know that I have been given the best gift to capture some great work by people who have devoted two years of hard work into my idea & I am forever grateful. A5 is no longer just another small project on the Internet; we have become a successful business venture which rises each & every day with a stronger heartbeat, a larger breath, & a death defying roar which leaves little room for wonderment of our limitations.

Season 3 will leave no doubt of our potential to lead fans where very few projects have succeeded to do so in Houston. I say that with a firm hand, which controls the destiny of things to follow which I am sure will lead the series to greater ventures of success in the near future. Fans are waiting to see what we've been up to & the competition is clearly not ready to keep up with our efforts, as we are surely going to entice many to follow our lead.

Once episode 22 premiers on the big screen the show will be eligible for IMBD credibility, not only for the actors, but anyone who helps with the series following the start of the new season. I have spoke with my new Co-Producer, Megan McGowan, about the abundant energy the series will have to carry fans on a fourth, & then to a fifth season. Giving strength to the fact that the sole premier will include over 4 episodes of material to produce the 1.5 hours of film, giving insightful strength to the idea that A5 can go to the big screen at a moments notice, should I choose to do so..

So, it is for this reason that I have decided to move the premier of episode 22, the start of Season 3 back to the date of October 1, 2010. The idea is to invoke the series to post a new episode every week for 12 weeks until season 3 ends on December 17. This will give the studio the opportunity to shut down during the coldest months of the year in Houston, & restart in the early Spring. I don't expect some of he shows fans to like the change in the premier date, but rest assured, the delay will be well worth the small wait in expected the best of what we have to offer.

For now, its only a plan....but one I like a lot...

ANOTHER SEASON PASSES

Season 2 started & ended with a dark preview of things to come. Each time, the show presented a shorter story which had very little to the lead character of the show, Angelika McAdams; perhaps marking a storyline of events which are sure to come. But one thing is for sure, now that we have reached the end of Season 2, the show is starting enter the realm of the unknown.
With the door opening wider on story lines concerning the "Vapor People", the show has presented a new story-arc which seems to lightly explain who the the "VPs" are, & more importantly, hint on a fact that they answer to someone else; raising the eyebrows from the growing fan base. The VP's will have a bigger part in the show next season, even an insight to where & how they become who they are, but that is still months away from being revealed.

But with all that's to come, we have to level our sights to the now. Since the show is now filled with strong acting assets after the realignment of some of the cast, the show has presented a real feel for the dramatic. The entry of actors Larry Carrel, Catera McAlexander, model & actress Rainey Beaumier, have helped boost the number of fans following the show. Their parts are the real magic that has kept larger parts of the drama intact, forcing darker imagery in the performances brought through recent episodes.
The senior cast members have also stepped up their roles, leaving little room for error when they have worked in front of the camera. The brilliance of each new episode is seen & accepted by the fans, leaving good intentions that the substance of the innocence once thought as the strong attribute to the show, has remained intact.

Season 3 is going to force a tough subject to the fans, something that may be even harder to swallow once the plot lines start level on focused ground. As mentioned many times before, this is what is going to happen, we're going to do it our way & there's no one else out there that will be able to keep up with us...

BEST FORM OF FLATTERY...

Well its like I thought, & especially like I warned the cast & crew about a year & a half ago, online series [where there weren't many of at one time] are now starting to sprout into production all over Houston...some are original, others are just not original at all...and that's in my professional opinion.
Whether or not Angelika5 (A5) had anything to do with it, I am not sure; but to many individuals who alert me about the plot lines & story arcs that are currently out there, their showing that some studios are producing "clones" of our show & calling it something else.

You know the format of our show; a lonely teenager, two distant parents, the teenager sees a guide that only she can see, touch, & hear...you do the study yourself to find the new online series that are in production & put the math together. Eventually you will see the clones are only mimicking the format we have perfected; story lines, online magazines, sneak peek production stills, Facebook fan pages, etc.

While some studios have done the right thing, deciding to stray into new unconventional forms of film formats to persuade fans to feel the nostalgic flare of CGI magic, others have refined themselves to sticking with the basics & closely follow the formula that A5 has successfully proven to work over the past two years. Again I say it proudly as I never said I was doing things the right way, but somehow the way I have done things is starting to catch the attention of local directors & they want the same limelight of success that A5 is now boasting.

And these "clones" have a long way to go to impress anyone. Trying to speed up numbers of episodes by posting a half-assed product is not the way to go. Keeping to a production release schedule is not the best venture to pursue in this business.

I've learned through experience to be patient. Put the best editing & sound into the production as best as you can. Check all of the angles, worry about the lighting, the best feel for your work. In the end if you present half-assed work, that is what your fans will only expect that from you. Stay off of release schedules to ensure your actors, & more especially your work, is taken seriously by you, so the fans can see that you truly care about your show & how it is posted on the web.

A5 is a corporate monster in the eyes of the people who are putting in their own personal time to keep it running. If local directors & critics think that the entire series is put together with pennies [or on a whim], then they nothing about putting a series together & they have not seen the real logistics to the show; cost of locations, mileage, per diem, etc.

The series is not put together with the mindset of a 24 or 48 hour film project. It's boasting a serious production schedule, a strong budget with investors fighting to keep it in Houston & a line of local actors dying to be in the show.

Now there seems to be a sudden rush by competitive studios to put out their own online series on the web. These studios are making casting calls [some to our own actors], who are trying to get the best talent out there to develop a good show. And even I know that I have something good going on when new shows reach out to gain the proven talent whom I have had the pleasure of working with in A5 for over the past year.

Our actors come & go to those new online shows without hesitation; hey, they know its a great avenue to be seen by through the web. A5 has proven world-wide fans that see it. Many of the actors on the show are taking a new line of attention through agents, scrambling to show their parts on the show to new clientele. The sole purpose of A5 was to introduce a new method of showcasing the acting talent in Houston, & guess what?...its working!

You know, there was a time where I was working very hard to get the word out about the existence of the A5 series. All that work has paid off & now the series has a reputation for staying alive through the long stretch. A5 was never about making money, its always been about broadcasting a great new idea in fast entertainment.

Keep an ear out for those online shows that push the need for money to keep their ideas alive. You never heard talk like that before here & we've survived just fine.

Its no secret that we plan to release DVD versions of A5 in the near future; but the idea was never rushed out to the fans early on because I knew that the series needed to catch on to a larger audience first to prove that it can sell in the vast world market; local bucks don't prove a thing except that someone is wishing for fast cash.

And if I have any suggestions to the new brethren of online series developers to share, the only thing I would suggest to them is "do you own thing, you'll get more respect for being original than trying to tap on the things we have already done on A5."

CROSSING PATHS

Season 2 has definitely presented a few jumbles along its road, but again the series continues forward with stern resiliency. We are proud to announce another addition to the series, an actress who came to the series as a moments notice to fill a small void in an important role.

Jennifer Stewart signed on to the role of the bright eyed & innocent "Ms. Kelly"; the Montgomery Christian School Teacher, replacing Heather Lamb for the part. Lamb was offered a position of possible success in Los Angeles which was too good to pass up.

The funny thing about Jennifer's introduction into the series was that she had just auditioned for another part in the show just a few days earlier & was visiting the set during the filming of Episode 18 when she was offered the role of Ms. Kelly. She had very little time to prepare [like 20 minutes] & was able to dash home, change clothes, put makeup on, & read her script only moments before filming.

She performed well under pressure, giving her best performance with what little time she had to prepare. But I feel that the rush presence paid off, giving the allure that the character was under pressure to keep on a time schedule; like most real school teachers are. During some re-shoots, she seemed to hone down on a presentation that the character will eventually level down to. Jennifer is quite aware of the importance of the characters existence on the show & she does not want to fail in any event when it comes to performing in front of the camera.

Since working during the Episode 18/19 blitz weekend, Jennifer has spent her time building a liking & absorbing some of the written substance about the character for her future performances; learning that Ms. Kelly is single & struggling from a dark moment in her life which prevents her from getting involved in relationships; a storyline that will be presented in the series soon.

Like her character, Jennifer has had some rough moments in her recent life & has learned to make her way through the darkness through hard work & determination. She is tough as nails, but has a quick wit about her, something I am considering adding to the character.

Unlike her new single alter ego, Jennifer is a mother of two boys. She keeps up with a busy daily schedule, ensuring her boys are keeping up locally in both scholastic & sporting events. Since the series is about family & teamwork, it is no surprise that she has caught on quickly for the need to have herself completely prepared for the role of Ms. Kelly.

The one thing that I admire the most is that she pulled off taking a role, already filled in the series & is making it her own; despite being buried with a busy family life. Her fantastic charm & humorous glow are welcomed to the series; & she can only go up from here!

SEASON ENDER APPROACHING

I've received a ton of email concerning this years season finale; no one asked what was going to happen, more to the point, most fans asked how long they would have to wait for Season 3 to start. I think the questions are valid & I feel that letting fans know through the blogs are the best way to ensure when to expect a new season.
Fans should mark down "September 17th, 2010" as the start date for ANGELIKA5's [A5] Season 3. With so many other projects planned during the summer, we felt the need to give the actors of the series time to work on other film projects, take vacation time, & hone down their skills for the next season of dramatic A5 episodes. The long wait will be worth it as everyone on the set knows that I am always gradually raising the bar, giving everyone a tougher goal to strive for.
The production of new episodes for A5 will actually begin in late July; & with the word starting to spread about how a simple series can reach out to a vast number of fans with the use of the Internet, a myriad of "A5 cloned" shows are starting to pop up everywhere from local studios. The full cast of A5 has started zeroing down on maintaining their positions for a spectacular new season which is sure to contain explosive, mind altering plot lines. There is no doubt in any ones mind that season 3 will break the A5 series out to all new heights.

And on a side note, some worries were risen up from fans concerning the A5 Magazine not being made available for free viewing on Facebook [FB]. I will quell any fears or doubt now, by stating that the online magazine is a FREE publication for the fans of the A5 FB page. Fans who request email copies of the jpegs can do so without ANY charge. The A5 Magazine, like the series itself, are produced through private funding, investors, & sponsors who like the idea that the studio is promoting new talent through the online magazine at no cost to the shows fans. The magazine has been a huge success with the fan base & we're just now getting started with the format of the monthly mag.

The idea of our A5 Magazine was to promote an inside look into the series to bring fans closer to the show, & not as an avenue of exploiting fans for money to keep things running. Deep down, I couldn't see myself charging for 9 to 10 pages of photos & commentary, when the real choice for success is in movie deals & offers for expansion to television. We seem to be breaking new ground after each new episode & local studios seem to just now be realizing that our successes are worth the risk.

We are flattered by the attempts to cash in on our success, but the real test is the long road that lies ahead for them. We're definitely making it all look easy, when easy was never part of the equation.

Okay-okay, I have to get back to work on editing all of these new episodes for Season 2. Trust me, things are going to slow down a bit, but everything I do has a purpose...and I guarantee that no one will see what we have coming!

DARKER PRESENCE

It's been a while, but they are coming back into the storyline. And this time, there's something different about their approach...there's going to be two of them & finally somethings going to be said about who they are & why they are around.
Some fans have made mention that their initial presence on the show came off like a sentient off-spring of the "Agents" from the Matrix. But these dark beauties are nothing like them. They cannot dodge bullets, nor can they morph into another body, but they have many darker abilities that are just as dangerous. There are more than one; some have twins or triplets; some are more deadly than the others; & all have a higher power that gives them orders.

Not until recently, was the show ready to present the real course of the bad guys.....or bad girls. With the newer & younger fan base wanting more answers than questions; to keep them from using their brains & getting lost in the guessing game, the door has been opened to shed the light into the realm of "Tech Noir" - or a hybrid genre of film or other works of fiction combining the Film Noir & Science Fiction or "Cyberpunk" genres. And now that the series is beginning to aim at the more "Adult" aspects of the show, I felt it was time to explain the time line & new technologies used within the confines of the show.
For instance, most fans are unaware that the series takes place in the future; how far in the future is uncertain. Some of the technologies presented thus far in the series have kept up pretty much to today's standards, but will increase over the next few episodes. Some of the things currently not seen on the show have been the constant use of cell phones or home phones, lap top computers, or the display of traffic or planes; which have purposely been shielded from the viewers on purpose.

One episode early in the second season, previewed what might have been a helicopter or harrier jet taking soldiers to & from an undisclosed tunnel system. But the details to the scene left certain details vague, even hinting that perhaps the details of the tunnel system may have only been a dark dream. The darker things that have not been the essence of dreams have been the existence of "Selene" & her movements throughout the town; seemingly changing her appearance from one scene to another, or maybe, being more than one person.

Catera McAlexander & Rainey Beaumier will be introduced as two new "Selene's" who enter the series, but for different reasons. They will both have the same abilities, but one is more deadly than the other. Each Selene will be developed differently with an angle to their characters that could decide the fate of certain characters on the show.

Catera's "Selene" is more of a teacher, who guides a new trainee into the series to gain more information about another damaged "receptacle." She will also be working closely with Brianna [Angelica Grayson] to ensure that things remain normal during the mysterious disappearance of a main character in the show. The new Selene will present flaws in certain plot lines & strengths within certain characters in the show, but make no mistake, each time she is presented before the camera, something bad is bound to happen.

Rainey's "Selene" is nicknamed "The Howitzer," meaning that she packs quite a punch when it comes to taking action. Sent in as a last resort, she will be the catalyst to some frightening scenarios which could mark the end of all man kind, should actions not be taken to stop her. Still she is not invulnerable & cannot dodge bullets, but like I said before, it doesn't mean she doesn't have other abilities which might be more frightening than previously presented before.

There is no doubt that some fans may have already forgotten the preview from the trailers, which were released prior to the commencement of Season 2. The trailer provided a brief insight of things to come, lending a peek into the introduction of a new character...or a "mirror" of sorts. That being the case, be prepared to see certain darker events starting to take root with in the storyline of the next few episodes...

YANKER JOINS CAST

Some tough choices have had to be made recently in the series to continue in the direction of harvesting the best local talent, for the best performances, all to present a crisp presentation to the fans. The ANGELIKA5 (A5) series is an "actors platform," designed to expand the cast & crew's knowledge of film production, with the first goal of putting together a successful online series.

Now reaching year two, it seems we have reached that goal through perseverance & sheer brilliance. There has been no sign of struggle, but there have been signs of change; each time the cast & crew have adjusted & moved on with brilliant acceptance making the series resilient to any new obstacle that lands in the way.

So with change in mind, we have added a new cast member to the series. She is Jessica Yanker of Sugarland, Tx who will be replacing the role of the troublesome "SABRINA," formerly played by Sidney Thomas who was released from the role due to personal family matters.

I met Jessica through an audition for CLOCKPEOPLE & I was very impressed & moved by her ability to channel emotions on the spot. She had a sure sense of herself & had strong parental support on her decision to partake a ride on this new journey. At the time of our initial meeting, I was sure that this young woman could add sparkle to A5 if given the chance.

Jessica had to take a crash course in watching all of the series episodes & studying her new part, learning about her character on the proverbial run. Her persistence paid off with a dazzling performance last weekend, greatly admired by her new found friends on the set.

I am completely aware that teen aged actors are the next generation of movie talent that will be taking over the big screen in a few years, & it's no secret that their start into the business depends on strong supporting parents to get them off on the right road. Jessica's parents are just that, & meeting with them, learning more about their daughter, the family, & their mutual respect for life is key in my making any decision about who gets involved in my projects.

Jessica has theater experience, which sets her apart from some of the cast members on the set of A5 & she's an avid swimmer in school. She has "stage presence" awareness, given her the upper hand in voice projection & a keen awareness of what is transpiring on the scene before the camera roles. She takes direction well & I observed her studying the scene from both sides of the camera, proving that she would adjust well to being part of a demanding production.

But what I admired the most about this new actress was that she takes her part of "Sabrina" seriously, having fun while she's doing it, but knowing that there's also a strong commitment to bringing the idealism of the series to the fans & being part of a team with a mutual goal to get it all done.

Brittany [Clark] & Angel [Grayson] seemed to immediately connect with Jessica on & off the set, proving that maybe my decision in bringing someone of her brilliant training was a good idea. And with many of the cast members learning & gaining strength in their presence before the camera, there is no room for stalling.

It is an essential requirement that actors must grow to be part of a successful show. Jessica surely proved on her first appearance on the set that she is immediately spreading her wings & keeping up with the rest of the cast. Being the director, it was a tough decision to make so early in the shows development. But I've always known that some decisions have a clear road that lies ahead, aiming for future success. So this is one of those instances that I jumped forward with my best professional decision & not my gut feeling.

A5 is proving that it is morphing into something bigger & better after each episode. Every addition to the cast is a remarkable demonstration of how this simple idea is proving it's strength by luring some of the best talent in the local area. The fans certainly agree, the cast & crew are becoming well known around the world now, & the local critics are still keeping their distance watching & wondering how we're getting it all done. And we've never claimed that we're doing it the right way, but we are getting it done.

BEAUMIER JOINS A5

Season 2 has definitely shown a few surprises when it comes to welcoming new line of cast members to the show. As the cast of ANGELIKA5 (A5) continues to grow with talented cast there are always a few moments where we need to pause & introduce a new face in the crowd that is sure to raise a ton of questions.

The addition of Rainey Beaumier may just be one of those much needed pauses. She's a remarkable local model that has been hoping for a chance to put her acting to the test with a studio project, which she told me during her audition, "held potential for extreme growth."

With a stern look of determination in her eyes, she was out to impress the studio with her audition, and did just so by making a strong impression on me about knowing how hard she might have to work to get it done. I had to slow down her ambition by remarking that in A5, it's more about being patient & waiting for her turn, more than anything else. "I have patience" she insisted, "I just want a chance."

Unlike most of the previous models that I have introduced to the series, the one thing that sparked my interest was Rainey's chameleon-like ability in her online portfolio, which showed a powerful array of different looks. Her impressionable audition was the master touch, which made me sure that I was going to make the right decision in bringing her in to A5; especially as the series has had several key moments with "model heavy" roles.

Rainey also signed on to the studio for CLOCKPEOPLE, taking on a serious role in horror as a potential Scream Queen. She was very excited about her selection & I know that her entry into the studio will only add to the raw & unsaturated caliber of female actors I have brought to my films. Her addition to A5 will strengthen her on-camera appearance & also give her a chance to focus into her "darker" side of her stage presence.
Rainey's entrance into A5 also will mark the beginning of bringing the series into a more intensive, "Action" oriented production to close out the season. The introduction of an evil triad or "Evil Axis" will be revealed at the end of Season 2, which is sure to bring in a more dramatic ending & an eye opening revelation to the show.

Again & even with so much weight now 'seemingly' on her shoulders, Rainey seems to have had her dreams come true by stepping on board at the right place & right time. But in the end, it will be a huge team effort to bring it all together.

NO GUESSSING

As the director, I have placed countless hours on the show planning the next step, the next scene, the next phases, & bringing in the newest talent through auditions & meetings. After a while, it starts to wearing me down a bit, but seeing the results of my efforts through new episodes & viewer reviews is worth all of the work.

So many things are put together in a fluid stream of ever changing schedules & sets of small interactions with the core set of the cast. Yet somehow it all gets done. There's no real guideline that I use. There's no secret elixir or text book that shows me the steps, it just gets done through driven determination. If you sat me down & had me describe the efforts involved in keeping just Angelika5 going, you might be a little more amazed that I still have to juggle a family schedule, meet with friends, produce full-feature films, pay bills, fend off stalkers & what-not. It's a myriad jumble of daily networking that never ends.
But on the set, on location, with the cast prepping for the next scene; all the worries, the plans, the meetings, the negative thinking, goes away. Just before the camera is activated, the pressure is gone & the formation of perfect harmony begins to take control. This is where I feel that I am at my best. Once the camera is rolling, there is no place that I'd rather be & I don't stop until I get my satisfaction.

I think the cast responds in the same way. Two weekends ago we were out at the Lightsey Ranch working on Episode 17, & everyone was so excited & filled with the apprehension of what to expect. There was tons of laughter, some great bonding, but there was also the sign of a good family forming on the set. There were moments where I didn't involve myself in what was happening when the camera wasn't rolling. I stood back, watched & listened to the cast & crew, & just grinned at the sight of watching a great team work together. Not long ago, they were all strangers just getting to know & learning to trust one another. It's not like that anymore.

Along this journey, I've learned a lot about myself & my responsibility to main a professional atmosphere about the series. Always watchful about those things that could bring it all down, always aware that I might have to make "that" decision which would have to be made to keep things in order to yet preserve the peace which I demand within the confines of the show. But there is a funny thing about "those" decisions I've already had to make...good things came out of them. The cast stuck by my decision & they leaped forward with larger strides & made very little adjustments to the newer situation. A new comer was welcomed with open arms, & he delivered sensationally with rave reviews! For that I am ever grateful.
We are inching ever closer to the Season Finale of the second installment of the series. I think our moment has arrived to going places this year. There are a ton of people who support us now, & this isn't just a bunch of new people on the web trying to put something together. We have been online for a year & a half, still pushing forward, still setting the standard for anyone to match our prowess. We've been dancing on new ground locally...and the feeling is good!

DANGEROUS SURFACE

Recently the series has presented three characters to the main plot. The new introduction definitely will sweep the fan base into a story arc which might plummet sharply into deep shock when the final ingredients of their development are made obvious to one and all.

Being on the hunt for the perfect cast of the show is a never ending battle. Finding three marvelous actresses to perform as the "Dangerous Triad" of the main plot was a tough endeavor, I can assure you. The truth behind the search goes far deeper than most elements of the series has thus far been developed. Keep in mind that the series was written over 25 years ago in comic book format, and that the main elements of some of the most interesting characters were written even farther back than that.

Tanna Amvet [played marvelously by Shelley Boozer] was a character I almost cut out of the series. Her relationship to the main plot could have been cut to three or so lines at the end of the series, but I felt the fans would want to see more of a back story to the character. This would have taken extra episodes in Season 2 to explain, thus one of the reasons the Razor element was brought into the series.

Tanna isn't only a super-human character with the ability of flight, telekinesis, and telepathy, she plays the part of a fail-safe system purposefully put there to establish control over many areas deemed "Sensitive to National Security." Even though her role in the series comes off as aggressive, the initial development of the character in comic books showed a much clearer purpose, and like I've said before, will be made apparent toward the end of the series.

Kari-Anne Fuller [performed brilliantly by Katie Carlson] holds one of the darker secrets of the show. Her current presentation has shown a cold side of character development, something that will be essential in the latter stages of the series. Her real inner-character was designed back in 1984 and continues to follow a preset storyline which ends with an epic jaw-dropping secret which will unfold from this character.

Kari-Anne is a physically fit, sharp edged character with an inner demand for getting the job done right the first time. Elegant in her delivery, but careful in the assumption of any weakness, you will be amazed at what this character has planned for certain people who cross her path the wrong way. Even though the character of Kari-Anne has been tainted by constant re-casting during her introduction, I am sure that her part in the series will leave a long impression after the show presents it's "darker side."

Emma McAdams [portrayed by the multi-talented Krystn Caldwell] had an abrupt introduction into the show. First seen as a stressed out, frantic mother, you are sure to be lured into a sense of false security that she might just be a simple ingredient to the show. But I warn you, don't turn your eyes too softly whenever she appears in dream sequences as her presence will start to spark many deeper questions which have yet to be laid out in the current plot line.

Emma is a character whose "seemingly" failed attempt at saving herself while protecting her daughter not only opened the door for explaining part of Angelika's past. This will open the door for answers to the many questions the show has already forced upon the fans. Many of you will come to the realization that Emma is more than just "Mom" to Angelika and a minor role to the show.

This "Dangerous Triad" is only the first part of a strong plot to bring you the best entertainment possible on the web. Darker, more sinister forces lay ahead which will push these three to the test of keeping things in good order...

CHANGING TIDE

The series production recently released a fifteen page online magazine called The Secret Of Angelika5 Magazine through Facebook which gave a brief insight to the show's fans about most of the actors now involved in the series. The magazine has been well received by fans, leaving little room for skepticism about how well the show has been progressing during it's first year run online.

The online magazine was an idea that had been brought up last year, along with the inclusion of a small fashion line of clothing. The latter has yet to be seriously produced, but the magazine always had strong possibilities due to the show's innate ability in presenting itself through fantastic, professional photography and production stills. And why not? Self promotion is always the best endeavor of any good show, right?

Along with the success of the new magazine, the series also released Episode Sixteen online. This episode previews the directorial skills and acting talents of Angelica Grayson, who also took a hand at delivering some memorable scenes with Brittany Clark . It was made clear through the A5 mag that this was not Angelica's first time at directing, but it was certainly the first time she was in control of scenes throughout an episode. I expect her to do more directing as the show continues, possibly even taking control over the series in the near future to deliver a radiant, pleasing look through the eyes of a teenager's life.

Episode Sixteen also previewed the talents of Eddie Enriquez and Katie Carlson, who both delivered dramatic parts in the episode. Eddie's character of "James" couldn't be played better; a fact often stated by me since the character was created in 1986 during my first comic book. His performance as an actor has only gotten better, leaving me with a great feeling that the BIG surprise I have planned for the character's demise will definitely be breathtaking when the time comes.

Katie continues to wow and amaze not only me, but the cast and crew as the dreaded and cranky Kari-Anne; a character that has gone through more cast changes than even I have ever tried to develop. With Katie, there is no ego, no conventional drama, no excuses, just pure "caliber" performance in her delivery. As she continues to claim her stake in the development of the character, the show's once weak point has begun to prosper. Her chemistry with Eddie is the perfect blend for their part together. You can be sure to expect things to only get better whenever those two are in the same scene.
On the next blog update, I will be posting some pictures for the show which have never been seen, and I also plan on posting blogs entries more often than not. So expect a few surprises.

FATE TWISTS

Season 2 is proving to be the best production of the series within the shows run. Each passing episode is proving that the cast is filling into their roles with fantastic performances, shelling out each new plot twist to the fans in stunning style. And where growth is greatly & easily admired by fans, changes will have to be made which might affect the fans acceptance of a new direction in character development.

Within the production of Season 2, the cast alignment has unexpectedly shifted with the procurement of new talent in already well-grounded positions. One of the newest changes to the cast is the introduction of Larry Carrell; who will take over the role of "Arthur 'Art' McAdams" for the remaining seasons of the series. Larry is a talented actor/director/film producer who was very excited to be propositioned with a chance to audition to the fast growing online t.v. show.

Upon meeting with me recently & signing on for a two year run, he conveyed his admiration of being brought into the series; excitedly asking the right questions & conveying to me that this was a big opportunity for him to take on the challenging task to present himself as a valuable asset to the show.

Larry has his own film production studio called "Ungowa Films" where he successfully produced the two fantastic movies "GAME OVER - The Secret Life Of Game Store Clerks" & "...Done" - which are noteworthy local films
which garnered good attention from local fans for their variety of filming formats; one being a rare comedy, the other being a deep, emotional drama. His introduction to the Angelika5 (A5) series was not due solely to his acting process, but his impeccable talent at presenting dramatic emotions at the turn of one scene to another.

Fans should take special note that Larry will also have tremendous inputs to each of A5's new episodes to further develop the character of 'Art' through out the remaining run of the series. I believe that this change which will add an emotional flair to the character which may or may not have been there before.
The integration of Larry into the series will be swift & gradual at first, but the importance of building the character of Art for the latter stages of the shows development is a must to ensure the best presentation is put forth with the previous strong line of dedicated cast members. I am aware that the procurement of new talent may be seen as a sign of stumbling, but let me assure you that the serious will only get better from here!

All of the series episodes will continue to upload on the Q Storm Productions page & on the "Secret Of Angelika5" FaceBook page! Please a make a note of these pages as no further information to the series new location will be updated on the www.angelika5.com website.

All of the mirror sites will still continue to post behind the scenes photos & information concerning the development of the show & the steps taken to complete production. Some recent new events have occurred which are currently changing the progress & direction of the shows production as it now enters the middle of Season 2. One BIG change is the addition of several new actors who will introduce a new story-arc to follow during the ladder half of this season. We will post more information concerning these new actors in the up & coming weeks.

The success of the shows presentation in Season 2 has proven the strength of the production at all levels, presently setting a big standard for other local studios to follow. Also, the shows creator is currently in talks with bringing in a new producer & production manager to help launch the series to a whole new level of production. Recent production success in Season 2 has paved newer doors within the local community of Montgomery, & now the show has now been the subject of debate concerning the development of a new awarding system for "online television shows" here in the state of Texas! If there is success in launching a new platform of awards for online television in Texas, we are hoping to be either strong participators in getting nominated, or contributors to the new line of attention in our category.

NEW FACES

It's was a long wait to see it, but Episode 15 was still well-received by fans! The episode is the first in a set of story lines which will introduce new characters [& actors] to the show this season; which also include the addition of Angelika's mother, Emma [played by Krystn Caldwell].

Krystn [that is not a mis-spelling] is an actress who is trained with a spectacular brand of method-acting & who brought a stunning performance to the show during a horrifically real, car crash scene; shot entirely in Montgomery. Back in November when Krystn was selected for the role of Angelika's mother, she was in high spirits awaiting for the production to episode 15 to begin. She was so excited about being in the show, that she would ask when the "big date" was. Her enthusiasm to play a part in the show was on the surface of conversation each time we met. Her part was well rehearsed & well thought out, & she opted to actually perform all of her required screenplay time in the car upside down, if I had decided to flip the car upside down as it was originally written in the script. Expect to see good things from this lady in later episodes!

Another great addition to the cast is that of Katie Carlson, who fills in some big shoes in the role of Kari-Anne Fuller. She did an outstanding job in portraying the role of Montgomery's lone Assistant District Attorney; presenting an agitated character hell bent on taking down an accused man in court. Katie's immediate exposure to working with some very talented actresses [like Amy Mitchell] helped her deliver a pristine performance in her first time ever in front of the camera. She was placed in the hot seat for her first role & she delivered with a calm, cool, and collected presence. But she is a realist & knows that she still has a lot to learn with tons of hard work to bring the role of Kari-Anne to serious life. I know that her work will only get better & we will witness some fast growth from her performances in the near future.
Some big news was the addition of two time Emmy Winner Robin Craig, portraying the ruthless Judge Leslie Moran; an important addition to the series as the shows plot line will be turning toward some serious drama later this season. Robin took the part seriously & went above & beyond my expectations with a tremendous performance; which no doubt has raised the bar of expectancy in the shows overall presentation. There is no doubt that the character of Judge Moran will be returning to the series at a later part in the season. Robin is very proud to be part of the show & is overly anxious to return to see how the entire angle to the characters development unfolds over time.
The second guest-star to the episode was Amy Mitchell, a talented actor visiting us from Irony Coast Productions, who portrayed the character of Defense Lawyer Mia Winger in grand style. Very much attuned to her role since she is a lawyer in real life; her performance showed an avenue of great talent, learned through time & study. Amy was also excited to join the show as a guest, proving that interconnections between separate studios can present some interesting values in film production. Her portrayal as Lawyer Winger was a strong element in the episodes immediate success & I am sure that her character will once again return at a later time in the series.

So as you can see, we are pulling out all of the stops to make the series a bigger & better production after each passing episode. Our plan is to take this series to the limit in presenting you some of the best online entertainment possible & produced entirely here in Houston, TX!

A Full year has passed & ANGELIKA5 (A5) is still doing what it does best, presenting quality episodes for its vaunted online series which has taken fans from one extreme to another. There is no doubt that the serious magic has been cultivated from the unique set of actors that have performed above & beyond, far exceeding the expectations of the studio & the shows growing fan base.

A year ago, many observers questioned the longevity of the shows potential; but that isn't the opinion of those same observers now. A year later they are still stopping by, being led along by the stories "darker" plot line & feeling the need to know the answer to the biggest question during the peak of shows presentation in Season 2, "what the heck is going on?"

There have been a myriad of changes in the direction of the shows story arch, each new twist in the leading storyline has brought about strange new drama & has even caused some upheaval within the cast. I assure you, there are many phone calls that are made to cast mates, reassuring them that they'll be around for the next season. The anxiety of not knowing is definitely weighing in on the cast as well as the fans.
With this being my second successful launch with an online series , I can tell when I am on to something good. Part of it comes when fans or observers start evaluating 'who is the better actor' in the series; and that's a well baited hook of a successfully launching a good idea. Indiscreetly, a good director wants you to choose between the character actors of the show & select a favorite [or the better one] presenting their performance. It is those essential 'opinions' that prove that the writing is working. If the viewer is 'feeling it from one actor over another' - then that is all part of the plan; eventually, most will see why at the end & that is the fun of it all.
I have seen some really great performances from actors that have had limited exposure on the show. The actors brought in to play strong supporting roles know that their entry into the series is pivotal in the secretive story arcs which will [in the end] change the face of the overall production. Eddie Enriquez & Hessed Honstien's performance in Episode 12 were brilliant examples of their genuine skills in acting. Both firing brilliantly against one another in a fantastic display of drama which left the fans wondering, "what lies ahead with those two?" - more questions that lead to the fire of shows strength. More evaluations from fans concerning 'which actor was better?'

This series is founded on a simple, well doctrined & fundamental principle..."Get It Done & Get It Out!" - We have left no margines unattained within the shows run, keeping the production format simple but gaining giant strides in the presentation of each new episode. Local studios are stumped with the series production record of keeping the production costs low & only working on a four-hour a day filming schedule; where in some cases we have filmed up to two-episodes worth of material. The pace of this series has been a blistering experience for cast & crew, & much more of a relief for the actors as time is not spent standing around waiting for their time in front of the camera; which has been well managed by the studio, leaving more personal time for actors to do things with their family & friends.

Each actor has seen the light of success with their performance within the show; more so in the cusp of being asked to audition for another studio film project(s). The few 'walk on' actors brought to the series have felt a little stardom for being part of a online series, which is now taking root overseas. The staple of a 'walk on' giving birth to a new idealism that sometimes 'a fresh look' is the best idea for a new project. Many directors in the business won't take the time to train new actors, favoring the more 'cliquish' actors to build their films around with, leaving the new-be's to learn their skills on their own in theater arts or smaller film avenues. Two of A5's 'walk on' actors are now fan favorites of the show, proving that giving new talent a chance in front of the camera can raise a projects integrity with fans.

Case in point, Saira Ramos & Mary King. Both of who had limited acting experience but are now cornerstone actors in the series. Each actress has come a long way & their performances have caught the attention of many fans. It's a simple disguise made through the writing of each episode, but a strong presentation of their natural talent that has made the success of being a fan favorite an accomplishment made all alone within their performances.
But most of the power of the success of the series has come from the veteran actors that have made the production look simple behind the camera. Brittany Clark & Angelica Grayson are having the times of their lives, being given wide birth to make changes to scripts & deliver real youthful presence to their characters; John St. Germain, Maque Garcia, & Andy Kantowski have shown real chemistry in delivering some powerful seens [and many yet unseen] that will change the way that online series will ever be presented; Melissa Blanco, Jessica Sauer, & Kayla VanBergen are vibrant models that are proven assets to the show that without their unique touch in the show, the realistic presentation of a nasty 'bad girl' would never have surfaced within the limited time they have been on the show; and the newly attained Shelley Boozer, Jason Yarbrough, & Robert Buttrick are just the next batch of veteran actors that are on the step of adding something new & dark to the series.

With such a large plethora of talented actors, it's no wonder the series has proven to be a strong production within the local community. A5 is only reaching the middle of its second season, & I can assure you that there are many more scary moments that lay ahead for you.

RAZOR SPARKS...WITH TONS OF QUESTIONS

Fan emails have plowed into the series accounts during the holiday season, all of them pondering the storyline of events occurring in the first chapter of the Razor additions to the series. At first glance its easy to see why...the appearance of a possible superhero taking out a tactical squad with no weapons, just seemingly with the ease of using telepathy & telekinesis.
Many fans are wondering if this is the new world being presented to fans through the shows presentation. With the nation now fully involved in an epidemic of "super hero" type TV shows and movies, I can assure everyone that the series is far from that. The Razor was produced as a story arc which follows the main plot of the series, which will lead into an eventual collision sometime in the third season.
So in effect, the Razor has done it's job presenting the first storyline [which surely would have caused more confusion if it had been inserted into the series production] in 8 chapters filled with tangents & plot twists throughout, but which would not have had a conclusion until sometime later in Season 3. With some great acting assists from Jason Yarbrough [Cdr Manton], Robert Buttrick [Sniper], & Daniel Brown [Blade] made the start of the Razor' a successful venture to toy with again at a later time.
Several first roles were presented in the Razor, the first being that of Tanna Amvet [masterfully portrayed by Shelley Boozer]. The character of Tanna was written into existence in 1986, during my Junior year in High School. Through graphic novels, the character developed over time into a sparkling warning of human-genetic tampering; a storyline never completed during its run. But I decided to add some of the elements of my old ideas into Angelika5.

Shelley spent a little over a month preparing herself for the role of Tanna. She studied up on telepathy & telekinesis through the Internet & books; & even jokingly tried using some telepathy on cast mates & friends to see if she had the ability to control their minds. But more seriously, a lot of thought went into the design of the costume & presentation of her powers on camera. Instead of diving into special effects to portray her power, it was thought out that maybe the fan base might be a little more aware of what is going on by presenting Tanna's ability with a "toned down" presentation. It worked, as fans really got the feel for what we were trying to present in the first Chapter.
So what's left after the shocking ending to Chapter One? Is Tanna the type of character that would deliberately force a soldier to shoot himself, or was she just trying to show force & scare the man to the sense of following orders? I guess fans of the Razor episodes will have to wait until the next chapter surfaces on the series website...I assure everyone that you will not have to wait too long.

SEASON 2 PROGRESSION

Season 2 progresses well with fantastic reviews from fans & series followers. The series seems to have taken a dramatic turn that fans like, & that a little chemistry of awareness is starting to grow outward to new fans.

Most of the more "in-depth" fan reviews has arisen through the fast growing Angelika5 FaceBook (A5FB) page, which currently posts information & photographs not shared through the series website; fans especially noting that new episodes are released on A5FB several days prior to the online release on the series website. These fans have noted the strong performances by our cast, & especially those of our young talent, both Brittany Clark & Angelica Grayson who are dominant fan favorites.

The number of A5FB fans is still considerably low, but I believe it is due to the number of well-balanced family & friends who have had the opportunity through viral networking, to know about it. The reason for having two different viewing locales is to bring the fans in closer to the show. I felt that if true fans were given the opportunity to have a closer, personalized viewing of information into the series, that they may feel that "special care" from the production team to give them the inside scoop to whats going on, giving the "family feel" approach to our delivery.

The A5FB page is working, & its network "hub" effect could result in a myriad of growth in tracking who the real fans of the show truly are. Tracking the number of fans for the series has NOT been tough, but giving a face to them has. With the series now reaching new eyes in territories around the world, I am sure that the series growth will reach an all time height by the end of the second season; which in itself will prove two things; (1st) the series is a successful project, & (2nd), it was all due in part to the sacrifice of the cast & crew to get it through this far.

With the growing number of fans on the A5FB page, we're starting to get a look at a lot of new faces that aren't close family members or friends; but more the extension of both. Season 2 has certainly vaunted the series in a new direction of success. With the presentation of the actors settling into their roles, & new, likable characters making their zeal within moments of first being presented, the new season seems to be rolling in a dramatic level all it's own.

Fans are mentioning that the "pot is boiling" for season 2 & that they feel the series is expected to reach a climactic arch at the end of the season, which could result in a breathtaking season to remember. Whether that is the real case or not, even I am not sure. But I will say that there are some very dark stories within the 2nd season which have yet to be told. And if you haven't heard yet, I am bringing in some of the best local "A-List" talent to the show to ensure that the current story-arc for this season is told perfectly by the right actors.
The storm is here...it's taking control & we're seeing the success of all of our hard days work...never underestimate it's power!

PIER NEWS

Over the course of the first season, we've used certain landmarks in the production of the series; small private places which could be easily recognized time and time again in each new episode. Each landmark chosen for it's beauty, & more importantly, for its simplicity.

Over the course of time, even way before the shore, some great moments were shared on the pier, but all of that changed recently, as the infamous "rocky" pier located at the "Lightsey Ranch" was crippled beyond repair during this years drought, which forced us to demolish & remove it.
The pier was build by [Grandfather] Joseph Lightsey over 40 years ago, which was lower to the water line. In time, that pier became unstable and another pier was built on top of that one. The pier had withstood many seasons, but it seems that the decay of time just wore the whole thing down, & you the fans, were witnesses to the last documented footage of the "rocky" pier; so christened by my sons.

Not anticipated to be removed during the shows run until Spring of next year, as a diligent writer I had to add the demise of the pier to the shows plot to keep things in sink. The funny thing is that John & I wondered how much time we had until the pier gave way; making sure that each time we were on it shooting the show, that we were careful making our way crossed it.

A new, more sturdy pier is being built on the site now. Things should be ready to go before future episodes to the series show the new bridge & the cast presents a reason for the older one being removed.

My family was saddened by the removal of the old bridge, but with a new one in its place; my children, the cast & crew, thank Grandfather Warren Lightsey for the approval of a new pier. We are sure that many, many more memories will be built on the new one.
...Future storms beware...this new pier ain't goin' anywhere!

A GREAT START

Season 2 started off with great anticipation from fans. So far, episode 12 has exceeded studio expectations, taking more hits in its first 3-day start than any previous episodes released in the series...which even now as I type this entry, is still way ahead in overall viewing hits for its second week of release!

The success of the new episode is largely due in part to the fine acting of the cast, the diligence of crew, & the well-planned out storyline. All of the pieces of a fine production working seamlessly to provide solid entertainment during a critical turn in the story arch. Recently, and with great reviews from the right eyes, we have set a high standard of production value in "Internet Multi-Media" presentation, which has been called the new wave of the future in the entertainment industry recently. We as a group are proud to be part of the great surge into a new realm of entertainment.

But even with such a great start to a new season, there is still a lot for us to do; a lot more to prove; & even better, a whole lot more excitement to present to our fans. The series is just now starting to show its true colors; completely taking everyone by surprise in what was once considered a slow moving show. Since episode 3, the fan base has definitely shifted its mentality towards how the show has been presented, definitely tasting the experience of believing in small "miracles" again. The sheer horror of events in episode 11 made most fans wonder; "what the heck is going on?" within the series storyline; something I was hoping from the beginning of production.

The dark magic of episode 11 would never have been possible without the assistance of Larry Evans, who painstakingly put together the dynamically dark CGI at the latter end of the episode in record time. He will have his hands in bigger effects during the second season, and monsterous more in later seasons as we will begin to reveal "the real truth" to the entire series in due time.

The cast continues to grow as more A-List local talent is being added to the series this season. One of the biggest surprises of all, is that we have caste a 2-time Emmy winner to the series for a short role!...something definitely not expected by the studio.

So, stick around & expect the unexpected in this new season...I am sure that I will eventually catch you off guard again!

LET'S GO!

So, the new season has begun & we're off on a great start...but it's time to begin the slow down of keeping a great pace. In today's entertainment world, fans want to see a lot in a short time; but a format like that looses value in the overall production. Something I learned all too well last year on another online series I worked on.
This series has long left the realm of "trial & error" behind. The cast & crew are working seamlessly together creating great things within the passage of time. All of our collective efforts in episode 12 are proving that we have the required ingredients of presenting true-grit entertainment when we have to. But now with the worrisome, but successful season premier behind us, we can slow down & get back to the real acting presence the actors are still refining for the show.

Season 1 questions will be answered early in the new season, but many darker things lie ahead within the shows storyline. An "Axis of Evil" is starting to form on the show which will bring in a new line of darker characters this season. The concept of the "Vapor People" has just hit the surface in the new episode; which will result in the introduction of some new actors to the show. However, fans should rest assured that their is no secret to them at all, they exist, & as to why will be revealed during the second season; & not stretched out to the third or fouth seasons. There is no reason for this, that is just how the show was written.

The "Allies" in the series are going to be helped along by the "Eliminators" who have just started to make their appearance on the show. These set of characters are going to build up more of the mystery & more of the action too. We have a great new set of actors entering the show, each of whom have a strong line of acting knowledge to present in the show. Expect to see a huge promotional push with these new characters within the next few months. They are excited to be on the show as I cannot wait to have them in front of the camera to do their "stuff" & really launch the series!
There are a lot of surprises in store for the followers of the series. Season 2 is going to be the second phase of the show, where we plan on adding more "well-thought-out" special effects to use in each episode. And we are planning some BIG things!

LAST THOUGHTS

Well...I wouldn't be telling the truth if I wasn't nervous about Season 2 kicking off tomorrow evening. With all of the promotions, all of the networking, & all of the drama incurred recently through trying to keep things secret, I am sure that in the end it will all be worth the price.
The cast & crew worked so hard to put things together, keeping so many things secret, & persuading me to keep the new episode in it's entirety, instead of chopping it in half for 2 extended episodes. The new episode goes through many extremes, telling more than one storyline at different locations throughout Houston, pressing the studios budget but maintaining quality results.

I definitely have no regrets in getting the job done the best way that I like to do it in. The show is now getting more attention for it's cutting edge presentation & now "clones" of our multi-media format are starting to pop up everywhere in the local area. With that, I say this; I wish all of those new series great luck in their endeavors, as they will certainly have their hands full in trying to keep things together for the long haul...trust me, I know. Money is tight out there, but the work is worth the rewards of getting noticed as movie makers & online series are the BEST way to get your stuff out there to be seen by the right people.

But right now for me, I know I will sleep heavily tonight, the first time in a long time. Tomorrow night, many people will finally see what we've been holding back with for so long. I have hope that everyone will enjoy the new season with great expectations of better things to come. If you are reading this entry just before you see the new episode, take my advice...just watch what you see, don't question it. Turn up the speakers, shut off the lights, & get ready for one wild ride!

IT'S TIME...

Work on Episode 12 wrapped yesterday...with just a few days to go, fans are anxiously awaiting to see the next installment of the series which left little Angelika facing incredible odds in a barn at the Fuller Ranch. Many questions will be answered in the over 25 minute season premier set for release this coming Friday [Oct. 16th], & the fans should know that the month-long wait will be worth it...but that new mysteries will also be unveiled to solve this season.
Editing the new episode was a delight to behold. Seeing each new scene fall into proper place, each musical track bringing raw emotion, & feeling the dramatic performances flow in each new preview was just as astonishing. The cast stepped up when they had to & the smiles on the set proved the anticipation of great things to come for all of their hard work.
In my years as an online series film maker, things have never been so important to get done the right way, with the right production, & with the right set of actors. There wasn't any worry involved, just a lot of great apprehension on how it was going to get done.

Most of the magic in this series has come from the main cast members who have put a daring "effort of trust" to see if their year long devotion to the story has not been in vain. The young starlets put in so much detail to get everything in line with how it all has to be. For the first time in the series, Brittany [Clark] seemed relieved to be given the chance to show emotion in front of the camera, an avenue of her true talent which has been held back for so long, now just beginning to shed light this season.

Angel [Grayson] seemed so ready to get things moving in a darker direction, to "get into the real acting" parts of the show that has been held back to "build" a foundation for viewers to accept. Angel's performance was breathtaking to see unfold before the camera. From one location to the next, she performed brilliantly under the lime-light of the series mystery. Her chemistry with Eddie [Enriquez] proving that she can deliver the goods just as good anyone else in the business.
But overall, there were many moments of humor shared on the set before and after the camera rolled. These small moments in the lives of two young actresses not captured in the episode & only seen through the humorous photographic captures of John [St. Germain], have made their efforts worth the subtle rewards of being treated like professionals. Brittany & Angel are growing up before our eyes...their both a year older now since the show started.
"Pictures tell a thousand words" & that I do believe. I look at these pictures now as I type this entry & I can't stop grinning to myself about how in this one moment Brittany had jokingly shifted her conversation from talking about the emotion of current scene, to "is it time for Brianna to die yet or not?"
I covered my face...everyone laughed...then I clapped my hands to get everyone serious again during a moment of true humor. I know that she was just as curious as everyone else who watches the show. Because it's true....a main character is going to die this season, there's no doubt about that. It just goes to show you that even the cast doesn't know what to expect this season.

Well, it's time to get cracking on Episode 13. See you on Friday!...

Well, production on episode 12 was well underway this past weekend. A large portion of the cast was present, as well as a few new editions to the series. I can report that the production went well & that the cast & crew stayed ahead of schedule during the weekends shoot.

I am sure that the season will hit a niche with fans as we are going to start working on the emotional side of the series. There have been some little ideas that I have been tinkering over the last few weeks in the writing department, that I am sure the fan base won't be expecting to see so soon in the series. But don't worry, you're going to find out that I am just doing everything in a simple way to expand the emotional range of the story to the viewers.
This season, the series will be introducing the new characters of "Kari-Anne" [Hessed Honstein] & the "Narrator" [Amber Thompson] into the shows storyline. The two new characters will play a big part in the series storyline, each shedding new light in the main plot of series & giving fans better direction in understanding what the series is all about.

Hessed is a strong, dramatic actress who came into the eye of the series after she auditioned for a role in a feature film I was directing earlier this summer in Houston. She brings an eccentric, elegant look to the show & I know that we will see nothing but great performances coming out from her. She has a lot of well-invested talent in acting & is no stranger to the camera, or working on sets. In just her first hour of work this weekend, she tackled three dramatic scenes & proved her talents in front of the camera with elegant ease.

Amber was the proverbial "needle in the haystack" that I have been searching for since production to the first episode of the series began. Found completely by accident after an exhausting search, she auditioned over the phone & was jubilant about being "penciled in" for a part in the show. After meeting with her, explaining the role of the "Narrator" & shooting the first sequences of her part in Kemah, Texas, she was more than jubilant about entering the series at the beginning of the season. Working in the mid-stream acting corner for the commercial side of marketing, her shift into working on an online series was flawless.

The countdown to the new season is quickly running down to the final days before the new episode posts. Now only two weeks out, there is only so much that the photos here can tell you about the explosive opening we have produced for you already.
John & I sat back, watching the initial edits to Episode 12 taking shape, & I can tell you this....with all of the strong acting presence we have in this series, the new season will be well worth the wait!

TWELVE

We were out in Montgomery, TX this past Thursday night, shooting a fantastic sequence for the second season of Angelika5 (A5). I shouldn't spent too much time blabbing about how terrific the episode is going to be, as much as I should say how shocked the fan base will be over how we are producing the series this season.

The entire special effects team spent the entire week preparing the new special & visual effects for the work laid out in the script. Lots of small detail went into the costumes, the locations, & the set to get things done right. Since I had done (3) tours in Iraq & (1) tour in Afghanistan during my 20 years in the military, I thought it was about time to show the world a little of what I plan to bring into my films; certainly I remember many nights sitting on watch, starring out into the desert night thinking about how some crazy-daily prior events would look cool on camera.

So with that, I definitely wanted a high energy performance approach for the new season, with some heart punching drama to take over the hearts and minds of the fan base. We are definitely going to hit the right mark with precision storytelling & dramatic actor performances this Fall. Certainly with the large ensemble of great actors aligned in the series, I know that they will all deliver when they have to & the will taste the glory of their efforts after each new episode is posted. I'm not sure what it is, but something clicked within us during the latter half of season one which has us wanting to do more.

As much as I am always wanting to rush ahead & work on scenes that are much easier to produce first, I decided to take on the heart of the "special" scenes first & doing it in a well planned manner so it wouldn't looked rushed. Screenplay on Thursday nights shoot was crisp & the actors performed brilliantly as planned. I later spoke to the crew about how I was starting to get a little terrified about how easy it's been lately to bring to film what I could only dream as a child. Before my eyes this night, a character I once created in comic books is actually starting to come to life before my eyes. The excitement is up, the cast is ready to get things going again, & the story lines are simply going to be bone-chilling until the new season ends.
This is no longer going to be a game of who has the best equipment for a shoot, it's going to be about who can deliver. So as I promised many, many months before, this series is going to set a standard with local online series production's...& I guarantee that with complete vindication!

PRE-PRODUCTION SEASON TWO

Wow...it feels like it's been more than just 30-days since we wrapped up Season 1 up. But it's true, it's time to get cranking in the studio again, but this time it's for all the marbles in the pouch, & not just the ones I polished for show.

We're releasing a teaser trailer tonight [here on the Blog] to preview a little of what to expect in the new season. It will even show you more clues to the series, which may also mislead you if you're pay strong enough attention. The trailer will not only be a surprise to the fan base, but to also some of the cast members who were unaware that a trailer was prepared for Season 2 during the ladder stages of Season 1.

The cast has doubled in size for Season 2; bringing in some strong actors like Eddie Enriquez, Heather Lamb, Hessed Honstein, Jessica Sauer, & Briannah Korin to boost up the dark-drama that lies ahead. Each of these new actors have strong acting experience, appearing in film productions throughout the Houston area. I am sure that their addition to the show will only strengthen the quality of the shows performances & story-telling.

In this series, the future is a dark, dark place to contemplate over. Expect to be immediately blown away by the unexpected!...

As we enter the second season of episodes for the series, we have decided to temporarily shut down for a month to get the cast prepared for the next steps in production; which includes a vigorous schedule of retaking promo photographs & imagery for the next season.

The website will also under-go a face lift & some new pages for the extended cast of actors who will make their appearance this coming season...yes, this also means that this blog will also shut down until the end of this month to buy me time to fill you in with fresh news & insights on the next, dark, continuing season.

WRAP PARTY

The cast & crew were in high spirits as they attended the Season One Wrap Party held this past weekend. For the largest part of the production, this was the first time the entire cast was present together at one time since the series launched this past January.
The entire cast does not know what to expect in Season Two, but it was evidently clear that they are ready to get started on its production later this month. With the cast growing larger this coming season, the main cast members began to realize that the first season was just the foundation for something bigger. Certainly, they will soon realize through the scripts that the second season will definitely be a little harder to produce.

The laughs & stories shared by the cast flowed from every direction. And if the talk wasn't about the show or what to expect, it was about the ambiance & food prepared by Maque & her family. The entire party lasted about 5 hours & there were plenty of moments of conversation between the cast & crew; & plenty of fun activities for the children of the cast located throughout Maque's home; whether it be in the tune of video games, Nerf weapons, or the swimming pool.

So, what can you expect in Season 2? Well, a few more interesting characters will enter the series. Eddie Enriquez, Hessed Honstein, Heather Lamb, Omar Scanu, Sidney Thomas & others will bring in a few new plots to the show. Expect to see a vibrant Angelika (Brittany Clark) & sneaky Brianna (Angelica Grayson) go to school a lot & enjoying adventures in the new season. You will also learn more about Selene and the notorious "Vapor People" who will also make their appearances throughout the new season. But more importantly, you will learn a big clue to the series which will surely keep you at the edge of your seat & which might bring in more viewers by the end of the new season.

What were the Season 1 clues? If you've been paying attention, the first BIG clue is the "Dam." At the dam, Angelika met with Ms. Rachael for the first time in a "waking" dream, learned about her power of shooting "lasers" from her finger tips, brought an ear ring & a pine cone from a dream into reality, & viewers also learned that a little girl died under "mysterious" circumstances there. Of course, you won't be able to solve anything with the first big clue, but it's more information than you ever had before.

Is the series really going to DVD? Firstly, yes. The series will be sold through Amazon.com & distribution to some movie rental companies through Lions Gated Ltd starting in November. Yes, the DVDs will include some episodes with extended scenes, some behind the scene photos never released by the studio, & of course, Blooper Reels. There will also be a "making of" segment in the DVD collection which will present first interviews & screen tests not seen before on the series website.

So, as you can see, there was a lot of planning that went into this series, even before we began full production on it. I feel that the series is starting to mature nicely, as we have watered the stories & plots so well with mystery & misdirection, that fans are willing to stick around to see what the shows really about.

In a few weeks we will start breaking new ground on the series. Season 2 will definitely leave what you've seen in Season 1 completely behind, but it will also preserve the innocence that was lost in episode 11.

MAQUE GARCIA

As the second member of the cast selected by David during an exhaustive search for a leading actress to portray "Holly" for Angelika5 (A5), Maque Garcia stepped on board boldly & has delivered brilliantly during the entire season of the show.

With her heavy, but soft Spanish accent, she entered the show with a prowess seen only once before in my time as director. A little difficult to understand at first, she has quickly been a character to cherish in the show. Whether her part be dramatic or comedic, she has come to the set well prepared & focused. But her work as an actress is only one side to this multi-talented, mature, & beautiful person.

She answered an A5 casting call through Talent6.com. With previous acting experience, she spent most of her time in front of the camera for commercials produced in Mexico. She always comes to the set prepared for work, carrying her scripts & personal wardrobes. She's a marvel to work with on the series & a complete natural for promotional photography shoots.

Now she takes a little time from her personal life to answer a few questions from the fans!

You have an interesting family history. Care to share? I was born in a traditional Mexican family in Mexico City in a very folkloric neighborhood called "Coyoacan." Both of my parents are from Mexico and I am the oldest one of three sisters. I left Mexico when I was 21 years old to live in England and finally ended up in Houston which is my home now.

You travel a lot, care to brief us a little on that? Yes I do!! I have a big passion for traveling and seeing new and adventurous places! Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand... every time I get the opportunity to go, I go!! And of course I return to Mexico and England where my families are located to spend the summer.

Where have you attended acting classes? I went to theatre classes in Mexico City in a place called "Casa de la Cultura" in Coyoacan.

What were you doing before working on Angelika5? I was doing modeling, working on promos, commercials and a on top of all that I am a full time mum!

So, you answered a casting call from the studio on Talent6.com? Yes! I thought it looked very interesting and I loved the theme! It seemed like a very entertaining series for all audiences.

What made you decide to work with Q Storm Productions? I though the operation was very professional, talented, friendly and respectful.

What was your initial impression about the studio and; the Angelika5 Project? I felt very welcome immediately by David, his family, and the other members of the cast. They make you feel at home and I knew they were very professional from the beginning.

In your real life, do you feel that you and "Holly" have anything in common? Absolutely! We both have a teenage kids and try to do our best to raise them as well as we can. But in real life, I am not as strict and opinionated as Holly is...well at least that's what I think!

Is playing a mom on the series, the same as it is at home? Yes, in the way that you are always concerned about your kids' education, health, and friends and try to teach them the difference between what is right and wrong.

Do you feel like you've been challenged by your work on the series? Definitely, every episode is different and so I have to make sure I am able to adapt and am open to learning new things.

What was your initial reaction to the presentation of the first episode? Absolutely loved it!! The theme tune and the creativity of David to pull the whole project together was stunning.

Do you like the progress of the series? Why? I like how every episode gives you special clues and takes you further and further in knowing the "secret" of what Angelika5 is all about.

Do you have a favorite episode? Why? I like them all the same, from one scene to another.

Do you have a favorite moment on the set, you'd like to share with the fans? I enjoy when we go to the Lake House and we get to go on the boat or swim.

Some fans really like the hot tub scene. Were you 'taken away' as most people are when they soak? Yeeeesssss! I really was really sweating after filming that day at the lake and all the hard work we did that day!...so it was very nice to soak in the tub.

Do you have a favorite character or a character you like to see grow on the series? I love Miss Rachel! I love all that enigma and mystery that surrounds her character!

What does your family in Texas think about you being in the series? My kids love it!! They watch every single episode...they ask me why I am so grumpy in the series!!! They thought it was funny to see me doing the gardening as I never do that at home. My husband has also been very supportive and is always keeping himself updated about the progress of the series.

What about your family in Mexico and abroad? They also love it! They think it is a very unique and nice way to promote a new series. My mum came to the filming of an episode and enjoyed it so much.

Is there something you're hoping to do on the show that you haven't done yet? I would like to do more extreme action stuff.

Do you have any words of advice for actors wanting to break into movies or online shows? Just go for it!!! Be patient and do your best!

FIRST SEASON

Followers of the Angelika5 series definitely enjoyed the shocking ending to the series! Ending the season with a real scream, after a slow start to get the show launched on solid foundation has proven that the chemistry of the cast, story, plots, & CGI effects all work effectively as they were initially planned to do.

We've received some good comments & reviews over the studios progression on Season One. The growing fan base definitely picked up the pace towards the latter half of the season adding more viewing hits than we expected throughout the run of the season. I can only guess that the darker story arc & crisp performances from the actors helped the series in the continuous production of solid episodes of the show. Needless to say, fans are starting to realize that this "little show" is showing some strong potential.

POSITIVES - The show definitely got better throughout it's run. The actors progressed in learning more about how to better present their characters in each new dilemma presented & added their own little instinctive ingredients into their performances to make things seem more real; the studio production on integrating sound, sight, lighting, & music together has become more fluid throughout the shows run which increased the shows true feeling in delivering emotion where it was needed; & of course, the shows story telling & plot twists were the best elements of it all, forcing the viewer to ponder the shows secret & actually keep the minds of our viewers in the proverbial lurch about where the series is truly headed.

NEGATIVES - Since the initial coverage of the shows pre-production efforts in November, the local news media has just shunned out any hope of sharing the growth of the series with the local community; Its funny, but if a local studio isn't producing a film with slasher gore or some soft porn, the local papers aren't interested in talking about it. Even more funny is that I've learned recently that we have been stapled by other local film studios as "that show with a well thought-out ending." - which just suits me fine.
Some local directors have seen the show & instead of just giving a good review they have questioned the methods of how we have been able to produce the show with the music, the locations, the licensing, etc, instead of just watching the show & enjoying the total presentation at face value. Film critics have stated that they have had issues with the sound, all I can say to that is "if your having trouble hearing, turn up the volume" - & that may not go well with your boss if your watching the show in the office...so, wait until your at home...Oh, and for the record, we covered all the bases of adding music to the series before the show was even written, so just sit back & enjoy the ride!
AN INTERESTING BIT OF NEWS - I received word via email that there is a group of Norwegian Angelika5 fans that sit & watch a new episode at a pub every Friday night. They have formally requested that Season Two be posted right away, to prevent the boredom from rising there again. To that, all I can say is that we will start posting episodes for the new season in October & everything we plan to present will be well worth the wait!

WORKING HARD

Production on ANGELIKA5 (A5) Episode 11 proceeds in a frantic pace, never before presented by the studio. The season finale is pitched with schedule changes, minor script re-writes, & a sizzling ending which is sure to start forum deliberations [on Facebook] for the next couple of months. But with so much pressure mounting in the production, I'm sure people may be asking how our two young leading starlets are handling the tension.
Brittany Clark & Angelica Grayson have been all smiles in the last few days of the episodes recent jaunt in production. As the leading actors on a growing fan-based show, they have kept their poise & still have had time to have fun in the sun. During production on A5's season finale, their parents have set up sleep overs, which are apparently very convenient to the girls, to help ease the cross town travel from one filming location to the other. The girls may be joking and giggling on the set, but they get down right series when the camera takes focus & we start recording their performance.

Brittany has had one busy summer. Outside of work on A5, she has had summer vacations, various other film projects she's working on, & now she's neck deep in summer cheerleaders practice & workouts at the local school. Speaking with Brittany's parents recently, they've said that the frantic pace of trying to keep a schedule for A5's production has been rough, but a priority as the season is now coming to a close. I am assuming that Brittany's parents are aware that the series is banking on the season enders dark approach for success. But none the less, Brittany is direct in her performances & has yet to give the camera anything but her best work.

Angel has also had one busy summer too. Vacations, a late soccer season due to entering state championships [which also included a scholastic sweep], & a vigorous schedule with traveling around Texas to promote her acting skills, have kept her very busy this summer. But somehow, her parents have managed to keep it wall working nicely, without any hiccups in her filming schedule on the series. If her parents aren't assisting Angel in keeping crisp in preparation of her role, then their assisting me stay in line with the details of the last episode. I admire that a lot, letting me know that if it's that important for them, then they know that the fans will care a lot about how we are doing things the right way. I admit, that sometimes I just let my guard down a bit...& maybe I need a strong assistant like Angel has to keep me in line with the scripts.

So far as I know, if you'd ask these two leading starlets about the pressure on the sets, I am sure they would reply with "What pressure?" I've noticed that these two are not missing out on anything in their time as youths. Their enjoying their summer, building great personal memories in their family lives & in their sports/acting careers. What I admire most is that they are not willing to settle with A5 as a launching pad for success; they want more out of their acting careers by reaching out for other roles in bigger, better productions. And I think that in due time, they both will hit the right mark in their acting dreams. And one thing I know for sure, you won't see them stressing out about anything if they don't.

So, as we enter the last week of production efforts to episode 11, I can tell you this; there is going to be a jaw-dropping moment that will forever change the direction of the shows storyline. And I am certain that the fan base will appreciate the validity of the shows potential once the final moments of the episode is presented. It's been a long road getting to this point in the shows story arch...I am sure that you won't be disappointed!

I've kept some mental notes during our most recent production efforts on Angelika5 (A5). As things are starting to get a little more exciting, I decided to get the answers straight to some building questions from both the fan base & some competitive films studios that can't seem to keep up.

Directing - I'm working with great talent. The actors have been the juice that has kept the whole show running. If anyones felt pressure about anything, they've hid it well. When we're getting ready to roll the camera, the actors have been fully prepared even before I've said "action." There's always a push on the set with the cast & crew, & most of the time keeping things in line with the script comes from the strong support behind the camera. I may tend to loose focus on what's required in a scene change, but with the assistance from the parents or reserve actors in the next scene, we keep things in line. Setting schedules has been tough during the final weeks of summer, but we got through it in style, keeping with the original plan I laid out in November of 2008.

Production Efforts - I have personally selected each location used in the show. Some of the newer locations were "recommended" by sources true to A5's aimed success efforts. Each place was selected for its remote location, lack of traffic, or lack of visibility from public eyes. One issue recently occurred was shooting in downtown Montgomery, TX where the traffic was atrocious; but we figured out that a four-corner light could be used as a guide to time the flow of traffic in-between each scene. I know that we will never really get away from all the noise that nature or some lone plane that arrives overhead during a shoot. So we deal with what we can & learn to work around it in a clever way.
Setting The Shot - I'm often asked by local film studios if whether I'm using the right formats, using the right sound equipment, or lighting. I giggle to myself because even though everyone is allowed to have an opinion, they get tight lipped when I ask about their last film project or how long it took to complete. I've never said how I produce this series is the right way; but I know that I am putting out a great show, with great episodes & character developments, with a great original soundtrack, & with great talent in front of the camera, all trusting my judgments along the way. On A5, there are no 15 hour days on the set; & many of the actors like that. As we are now reaching the 3 hour marker of all of the episodes combined, there is a strong belief from other film studios that my system has proven their previous evaluations wrong about how I've proceeded. It's never been a contest, just a new way of putting out vast amount of film on the net, proving that the result of good film is how you put it together; not about what you use to do it with.

Practice, Practice, Practice - The cast goes through a vigorous screenplay before we even start setting up the camera. Scenes are practiced about 6, 7, 8 times before I even start feeling the gist of what the scene will look like; I decide on cuts just before filming. All the years I spent as a video editor in both California & Connecticut, I learned what works best in each scene. The continuous thing that I've learned during production on A5 is that actors sometimes have the inability to see into the scene that I have developed on the spot; & either shared with them just prior to the scene at hand. It isn't until the new episode posts that they will call me & say "Oh, I see what you were talking about now." That's when I get instant gratification of the work we've accomplished & I know that the actors involved will trust me without a doubt the next time go round.
Fun On The Set - I don't think there's been a day that we have not laughed on the set. As a matter of fact, all of the laughs & personal jokes are so wide spread, I'm amazed that we get through scene's with little trouble. Everyone seems to have their own flavor of humor. Just this past weekend I shared with the "Second Unit" of Ruben Sanchez, Mary King, & Melissa Blanco that this group is an insanely-talented bunch to work with. Most of them being "walk-on's" but you would never know that by their performances in front of the camera. I think it's humorous that A5 has a little over twelve actors that work together to make magic happen, but the entire cast hasn't been completely together since the first week of pre-production last November.

Heat? - Lately its taken it's toll on the cast. Just recently, the humidity has been unbearable. There were a couple times where I've shut down production for a few hours to get everyone out of the searing heat. I remember one day when I had Brittany [Clark] & Angelica [Grayson] out at a cement dam, & you could see the heat rising from the concrete. The girls were beat in the first hour of the shoot, but they trudged on & completed their scene without any complaining. We took a break & came back later that afternoon to complete the final sequences to episode 9. But other than the heat, the production has pushed forward in great strides, with assistance & support from the entire community.

Fun With Tongues - Whether its an awful story tossed around by the actors or just a sour note hit by an actor, there has been the presence of tongues on the set. Maybe its a part of what makes being on the A5 set such a grand thing to be exposed to. When I take the time to look around & I see tongues being thrown around, that is when I know that the entire cast is getting along well. It's usual to see that I get wrapped up with one set of actors for over an hour, & forget what the others are doing. The small existence of tongues sticking out between the maturer members of the cast just reinforces to me that we are all on the same page; they just needed a moment to let the fun-frustrations out into the open. Our biggest tongue thrasher is Mary, but Angelica is a close runner up!

The Next Step - Many cast-mates, both past & present, will tell you that I am always thinking. In between takes I use my imagination on the next scene, the next angle, the best use of light, the best way to make the actors project their performances well on the screen. The tedious use of my imagination really tends to wear me out after the four-hour mark of production; one of the real reasons why the weekend shoots we work on are only four hours in duration. We get a lot of filming done in four hours & I'm sure by now the cast & crew have picked up on that. They like short shooting days...I do too.

Things I Miss Out On For Being A5's Director - With this cast, I know that there are a lot of little shenanigans going on when I'm not looking. I usually hear about it later, after we've wrapped up for the day. There are tons of laughs over how I respond to missing something behind me, or the joke that was passed along. These guys are complete clowns when I'm not around...and I like that.

Thoughts As A5's Director - A5 has been able to bring a lot of good, talented people together without any of the drama that usually follows a successful production. Even though I've cut a lot of corners & even made some daring jaunts at getting a scene shot, I think it's all been for the better presentation of the show. Everyone is very proud of everything we've accomplished in a short time. There's no resentments about any performances; just the typical conclusion that the actors can try better next time. I have kept my nose clean from any infringements that usually follow such a successful show, something that most people in my position wouldn't. The cast & crew are a huge family that lean on one another when the scenes get tougher, & that I'm most proud of. And even with all of the success of the past episodes, I still feel that I have yet to push these guys to the limit; something that they will have to do in short time. They are resilient; they will prevail. As a producer & director, I can tell you that this series has a lot of surprises ahead for everyone....even me.

Looking Ahead - There are dark days that lay ahead for the entire cast of A5. As the story begins to take the turn for revealing a lot of little secrets, revealing the big secret will mean that the show is almost over....that is, until the feature film begins production next Fall. But I am aware that this cast will deliver when they are put on the spot. We have pushed against the grain long enough, now it's time to start delivering & getting some long deserved respect.

Abraham Lincoln once said, "Endeavor to persevere," & persevere is what the series has easily done in it's seventh month of being active on the Internet. The numbers of the fan base steadily grow after each episode, already passing an unexpected level projected during it's initial development.

The analogy of "cause & effect" have been true to form with the recent posting of darker, story based episodes. A stunning attribute to the successful growth of out fan base has come from the acceptance of the series within the Latino community. I believe that the reason for this is the fact that [besides Neuvo TV] the ANGELIKA5 series has the largest ensemble of Latino actors actively participating in a heavily Anglo/Caucasian arena.

Almost 70 percent of the ANGELIKA5 cast are Latinos, which include Maque Garcia, Saira Ramos, Ruben Sanchez, Melissa Blanco, & Eddie Enriquez; each in pivotal roles destined for larger, more important [& required] performances after each appearance in the series. This factor, was purposely designed during the shows formation to help procure a larger viewing audience within the heavy mixed Latin cultures throughout the world.
Case-in-point, the addition of using Spanish as a second language within the series during emotional outbursts from the Latino-side of the cast. There are moments during filming with Maque when I feel a need for minor comedy, thus I adjust the script & I ask her to add her some Spanish dialog that only fluent Spanish speaking fans might pick up on. I resent using captions for these small moments, leaving the scene as a flavorful "inside joke" between the show & the Latino community. But when scenes consisting of important Spanish dialog are presented on the show, I will use the captioning to spell out the importance of the scene.

In my opinion, I think that in any series production whether it'd be online or on television, should aim their efforts at producing films/shows, casting larger ethnic roles within them. I plan on adding more characters to the show later in the series; a few more are planned for leading African-American role(s); which I think will balance everything out in the end. My actions are not about making everyone happy, but how I am wanted to produce a show where everyone gets along equally, & where it's not always about color or creed.

In the next few months, I plan on re-producing the series in both Closed Captioning (CC) for the deaf; which was originally started during the first two episodes then stopped, & also dubbed in Spanish for our quickly growing viewing audiences in both Mexico & Colombia. So as you can see, we are planning to expand the format of the show for just about anyone who asks for broader acceptance...I'm pretty sure you don't see that from most Internet projects on the web.

Due to some recent fan email requests, we're going to start doing some cast interviews in August. I actually did some cast interviews on a previous online series, where some light was shed on the personal thoughts of cast members for the [then] well-established fans base; so I thought it'd be a good idea to do it for the series now. Expect to see not only the interview, but fresh photo shoots from each actor. The first interview will be on Maque Garcia, to be released on August 1st.

The cast & crew are rip-roaring ready to get the second season started. Probably because the best of the show's story lines are going to zero in on the darker side of the plot, or because we'll be introducing new interesting characters that will help in the presentation of crisp drama; which is now unfolding before the fans.

Finding new talent to bring to the show hasn't been easy, but each time that we've been able to find someone with a characteristic to help out the show, the end result has been more than what we were hoping for. In the case of our recent production efforts, finding a walk-on with the ability to perform as a natural has been a sight to behold. And I am sure that bringing more young natural talent to the series will be a larger challenge once I have to present a full classroom in the second season.

And speaking of dramatic talent, we recently signed Megan McGowan to the show. This young woman is the proverbial "needle" we've been searching for to fill one of the most important roles in the series. She will be filling the role of "Kari-Anne" Fuller, Brianna's high-powered lawyer mom who is going to bring an estranged element to the home live's of the two brightest teens of the show.

Megan's "Kari-Anne" will face off against James [Eddie Enriquez], her husband on a constant basis upon her entry. Some initial footage to James & Kari-Anne's marriage issues for Episode 12 was filmed yesterday & all I can tell you for right now is...WOW!...what a performance by both of these characters! And I am sure that as the series progresses along, you too will be amazed by the powerful things that Megan will do, with the simplest performance in front of the camera.

I wish I could give you more details about Megan's previous movie credits & about her life. But honestly, this woman is just as busy as I am. She is a writer for an online magazine, an aspiring actress working on various projects, a traveler, a sports fanatic, a brilliant speaker, a vibrant student, & wise beyond her years. It's almost a windstorm speaking with & getting to know her, as I find myself feeling constantly interviewed & interrogated within her presence; but it's all not aggressive & more of a natural learning element she uses to get her to know the people she works with.

Megan's tall, yet slenderly fit physique help her deliver brilliantly with a mature posture not readily seen in most films today. During a recent photo op, I was stunned to find that her beauty was captured easily by the camera, reaffirming that the studios decision to bring her to the series was the best call we could have made. She is a definitely, brilliant addition for the show.

With all of the excitement building up for the second season, we have to bravely trudge along & get through the first seasons final three episodes. One production adviser has stated that the scripting for the last three episodes is "a roller coaster ride, that most of the fans have been waiting for all day just to get a glimpse at"...all I can say to that, is that I truly hope so!
Well, I'm off to complete work on the next exciting episode of Angelika5, set for release this Sunday. It's going to be a pretty darn HOT day & I know that my actresses [Brittany, Angel, & Saira] are going to be exposed to some pretty bad heat out near the dam!

NEW ANTICIPATION

Blog hits are up this week. I am sure a lot of it has to do with fan anticipation for the approaching "Season Finale" tentatively scheduled for the first weekend in August...and I can also assure the fans that the cast & crew are also very excited about putting the final episodes to the first season together!
What's gearing up the excitement in the studio is that not only will the drama be beefed up in the next few episodes, but some spectacular "mind grabbing" special effects CGI will be presented raising the caliber of the series to an all new level; the true colors of the show's design making it's long awaited appearance. After first first season ends, no one will doubt that the series can deliver.

The strongest part of the series has been the careful design of delivering the stories in a well thought out pattern; a pattern that most cerebral fans may find as "lagging" with excitement. However, they have stuck through the "lag" long enough to see and feel the new drama unfolding. As documented many times over on this blog, I made it clear to many fans & cast members that the story to this series had to start with a strong foundation of events. Even though the initial events may have been bland, the delivery of the first episodes made a profound statement that, "even the smallest events may have a strong purpose."
The strength & believability of the characters have definitely been refined by the cast. They have come to the studio well prepared & ready for any adjustments to their scripts [if needed]. I cannot begin to tell you how much I owe these guys for all of their hard work and dedication to keeping the spirit of the series alive. And I am sure that in due time, their efforts will be awarded by the fans that follow them each week.

The addition of new cast members has always been a worry of mine; especially in the sense of the series having such a slow start in character development within the first few episodes. But I am sure that the fan base will adjust accordingly when Season 2 starts up in mid-September. The new faces will mean that the series growth in drama & action will also increase; mindfully setting off new interest in the show. Wow, I just called us a "show."

And speaking of fans, we have recently collected data that a high percentage of the series fan-base are female! Most between 17 & 35 years of age. Most of the insight to discover percentages was instigated by the percentage of fan results which came from our ANGELIKA5 Facebook Page, which currently employs 22 fans following the series with productions updates, photos, & information; not including countless of viewing hits from the Q Storm Productions MySpace Page which currently lists all of the newest studios movies & short films recently released. With that, I haven't even forgot to mention that the numbers from AOL, Guru, & the series home web page have been tallied up yet either.

But even with all of this positive news, we still have a long ways to go & a lot of work to produce. There is still so much to learn to do, so many special effects to figure out, stories to tell, & plots to unfold before we can even consider this series a complete success. But I also think that this is what's fun about keeping the series going as a team effort...finding out how smart we are to pull this whole thing off.

THREE DAYS

Since work on the series began, I looked forward to begin shooting the last 3 episodes of Season ONE. So much so, that there was a little worry in my mind about how I was going to approach the production when it actually came time to begin working on them.

As I make this entry, the actors are on their way over to the studio. A couple of the actors are just getting back from their family Summer vacation, the others are just returning from being away from the studio for a little over a months hiatus...and I have been recovering from an extended photo shoot of local models in the hot Texas heat.

In a little way, the whole approach to working on the series just seems a little more intense. I feel like everyone is bringing their best game to the sets, knowing that the series is banking strongly on what is coming next...the dreaded Season Finale. I have estimated that it's going to take five days of solid shooting to complete the last three episodes & since Friday was completed well ahead of schedule & with some of the newest cast members, my pre-planning was on track. After a solid performance today by several of the main cast members, it's now left us with three days of solid shooting to go.

Today, Brittany [Clark] returned to the set from a recent trip to Mexico with her family. When speaking with her mother the other night, I got the impression that she is ready to get back on the road & get this monster moving again. I can honestly tell you that the scripts for the last 3 episodes went out about a week ago & I am sure that Brittany was studying up like a monster to prepare for today...or at least I hope she was. Saira [Ramos] is in the same boat; returning from "who-knows-where" aching for another appearance on the show. She is really digging the character & knows that I have only the best intentions to make the character of Ms. Rachael even more mysterious in the second season of the series.

All of the editing to this past Fridays shoot is complete & nestled nicely in position for the next episode. Today's additions will lengthen the episodes total time with some much needed additions starting this coming Friday. During that time, we will be introducing Eddie Enriquez [aka James Fuller] to the series; a talented actor who will bring some HOT action to the series & also a little Texas brawn - which I know will favor a lot of attention from fans during his initial appearance. Eddie has waited a long time to enter the show & he is very excited about joining the cast & crew of the series, about as much as we are very happy to work with him through his very detailed & busy schedule.

Another gained actor will also be entering the series in Season TWO, Megan McGowan [aka Kari-Anne Fuller] is excited about getting the chance to sink her acting prowess into the series. Her character was originally slated to enter the series in Episode 7, but certain time constraints & editing removed the entrance of the character until later. As Kari-Anne, Megan will have her hands full playing the local & future District Attorney who is hell bent on bringing down the local drug crime in Montgomery, with the aide of Detective Mendoza, the Montgomery County Sheriff. Sounds interesting & normal, huh?

Well with that, I think that I have given you a little more insight than I should. But I am feeling very comfortable lately...must be the fact that I am quickly approaching the one-year mark of living in Montgomery, Texas since the move from New England; without any drama in my life as a director/producer...that in itself answers a lot of old, nagging questions. But back to the important issue, we have three days of work to go this week & I think the whole cast & crew are more than excited to get started.

Work on Episodes 9, 10, & 11 started this morning. Under a perfect gloomy sky, part of the newest cast members entering the series made their debut in front of the camera; all with perfect precision in their performances.
The gloomy weather & distant thunder didn't hamper the production today, we pushed on with little to no real affects from the weather which was slowly sneaking in. Everyone did their part, & more importantly, the new faces in the cast were to excited about their chance to enter the show, than worry about a few raindrops on their heads.

It was a strong first-time showing by the new cast members. During scene review on the video monitor, John & I were very pleased with the performances, the setups, & the natural lighting which was offered to us today. Andy Kantowski & Sidney Thomas have a lot to be proud of today, as they had to step up right away to present their characters in a way that gave a natural performance to the lineup of main actors that already have (8) strong episodes under their belts. They approached their work today with vigilance & were successful at making everything look very natural before the camera. I salute them on their efforts.

And now, I'm starting to get that little "familiar" feel with the rest of the cast, as if everything we're starting to do for each episode is now starting to have a stronger direction to present to the fans...and it's true. Episode 8 is surprisingly surpassing the last two previous episodes in fan hits easily this week. I am sure that it's due to the recent change with the increased drama, which I warned fans about many, many weeks ago.

We have four more days of work on the next (3) episodes to complete the season. My plan is to release the final three episodes of season one in back-to-back-to-back Friday night releases, which will close out the first season in mid-August. A month break will follow, with work starting on season two of the series in mid-September.
The growing cast had a great time on the set today & tomorrow they have off, as some much needed repair is needed on the "Rickety Pier" at the Lightsey Ranch. I was hoping the pier would make it through season one with just one soft twist on the walkway, but a recent dry-spell has lowered the water level which also increased the curvature angle on the pier. So, some of us will be busy trying to make the pier last a little longer, while the rest of the cast & crew will be back into production on Sunday to finish out another (2) episodes of work.

Production on the series is proving that we can connect with fans on two sides of the entertainment spectrum; we have a fundamental approach to story-telling which any family can watch with interest & a punch-pounding delivery with drama that is keeping fans tuned in to the show.

Each week, John [St. Germain] & I go over the numbers of fan hits to the web site, & other locations where the series is posted. Even though the traffic is starting to settle down, we are not convinced that the total numbers are projecting a true number of followers. In this part of the game, numbers mean everything. With our recent success at reaching an unprecedented number of fans in my filming career, we have to stay sharp & continue to produce episodes on an upswing of success.

The numbers ARE up & rising in each passing week, but for good reason. During a recent podcast with local studios, a question was brought up about small film productions & "b-flick" projects, & to what happens to them after they are completed. Keep in mind that many film projects are given grants from as little as $5000 to $80,000 or more with sponsors seeing only local-minor success with it's release. As an online production [or web series], local sponsors have seen that Angelika5 [A5] has done more in the last six months than any of the local film productions here have done in the last year, & with distribution of the series now set around the world.

Of course, this small series would never have been successful without its talented cast members. They have remained crisp & conscious of the shows potential. Where at one point, I was doing all of the promotional work for bringing up the excitement of the show, they all have done their fare share of spreading the news through "viral networking" which is bringing us new fans from around the world. We are all on the same page about what we have in our hands now, this is a total team effort & we're excited about what's coming up in the next few episodes!

We have been very lucky though. At times where certain hurdles came up in our path of production, we have managed to leap over them with little effort, but with great success. I mean with recent events, who'd of thought that Melissa Blanco would perform brilliantly as a last minute addition to the series? Or that Mary King would develop her 'minor character' in the show with just a few gestures? & that we would be so lucky to land the Garrett Antique Store for two episodes?...I mean, the list goes on & on, with everyone around us pitching in on a fantastically wild ride.

We're definitely on an upswing of positive production. With episode (9) now in production & episode (10) hot on it's heels, I am sure that the series is going to get a lot more attention. The stories are just now getting defined, the characters are starting to balance out, & the real mysteries are just now starting to take shape. All of these things [which we know] will spark up your Summer as you keep up with the show.

DEFINITELY SOLID

It comes as no surprise to me that there is raw talent on the series. One of the best qualities of our show is that the caliber of actors we attained to bring you this series is beyond a doubt, have quickly become the best group of friends I have ever worked with. And within this group, one of the young upstarts has pushed goals that far exceed anyone in her age group.

I'm talking about Angelica "Angel" Grayson. This teen is not only one highly talented actress, but she is also a very intelligent student in school, a superior athlete in sports, & a resilient spirit with a crisp, clean personality in her personal life.

Just recently, she was invited to participate in the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP) Search. TIP identified seventh graders nationwide as academically talented students by having a high qualifying score on the Math or Reading/English Language Arts portion of the TAKS test; identified as one of the top 5 percent academically talented seventh graders in the nation.

Angel was one of approximately 70,000 seventh graders nationwide who were invited to take the college entrance examinations, SAT or ACT. She took the SAT, along with other college bound students, and scored higher than average on the writing portion of the SAT compared to last year’s group of college-bound seniors nationwide. Her high SAT writing score qualified her to attend the prestigious Duke University TIP 2009 Texas Recognition Ceremony at Texas A&M University this past May 28th.

With that, at the end of the school year, she received the following awards:

-All "A" Honor Roll all year - Distinguished Honor Roll (lowest grade: 97).
-Scholastic Writing Award.
-Duke Univ State Recognition for High SAT Writing Score.
-ELA Pre-Ap Most Outstanding in Class Student Council.
-Prose 1st Place District Champ.
-Commended TAKS (3 tests & perfect score in writing).
-Girls Athletics MVP.
-7th grade girls most outstanding All-Around Athlete.

She received a total of 6 medals, 2 certificates and one MVP plaque, in addition to the 3 track gold medals and medal from Duke TIP already received.

Angel's competitive spirit & solid academic achievements are just a portion of this teenagers persona that I have personally witnessed first hand. She still takes the time to be close to family, have friends, handle horses, & every two weeks, deal with production scheduling & shoots for Angelika5 (A5).

On the set, she is very professional & takes her performance as Brianna very seriously. She & Brittany Clark work on their roles not only as professional actors together, but as good friends. Her parents are also very supportive of Angel's decisions & her acting career. They ensure that she is given ample opportunities to not only reach for the stars, but also remain a teen. She has come a long way as an actress in a relatively short time working with me & is handling her performances on A5 so well, that her character is quickly becoming one of the fan favorites in the series.

I feel very proud to have an actress like her on the show, who I haven't had to worry about affecting the show's progress because she was failing in school, staying out late at night, or getting into trouble by hanging out with the wrong crowd. Angel may be portraying a rebellious kid on the show, but in real life she is living a centered life & for that I am very gracious!

In this series, we've had a lot to prove in a very short time, & with intelligent, bright actors like Angel on the show, proving our worth hasn't taken us all that long. Working closely with her in the next few weeks is going to be a breathtaking experience, especially as we are closing in on the season finale. I can guarantee that you will be shocked by her future performances.

They follow you around the room & they never need to blink. Their glaze-filled eyes forever watching in the brightness of the day, but also within the deepest darkness of the night. Some dolls have out-lived man by almost two generations, but their eyes have lived longer than that.

Which brings up the question, why are generations of people so easily consumed with the need to own a doll?

In my own time & in my own thoughts, I have never really pondered that question; that is, not until we started production on Episode 8. On location at Garrett House Antiques in Montgomery, TX, the cast & crew were introduced to a Doll Hospital where Angie Garrett has spent many a day repairing dolls for collectors both locally & around the country. Her talents are well known & she travels a lot sharing her skills with, who I am sure, are countless of die hard doll collectors needing a little maintenance on their doll collections, keeping them in pristine condition.

Last November, when I set out scouting locations to match script ideas, stopping at the Garrett House must have been a call of destiny. After proposing to it's owner the idea of filming some episodes in the store, Angie seemed quite excited to share the Doll Hospital hidden in a room inside. She told me that when patrons first enter the hospital, most are taken aback by the "eeriness" of the doll parts & supplies spread throughout the room. After only a few moments of spending time, learning about her skills, I began to understand the importance of her trade amongst her clientele.

Episode 8 features the Doll Hospital with [Doll Doctor Stephanie "Steph" Dugan [Sharon Goodlett] who takes on the task of repairing Holly's twin red-headed dolls which were damaged prior to the move from Colorado. Sharon is an actual employee of the antique store, who was asked to play the role of "Steph" - and did so brilliantly in the episode. There was so much promise in her performance as Steph that I have asked her to return later in the series; with hopes that Angie will also eventually come to the show & play herself in a future episode.

The shows presentation is starting to sharpen, & better yet, the supporting roles & performances are giving each new episode a brilliant luster to admire over. We're on the right road folks & with strong supporting sponsors like Garrett House Antiques, the show can only get better!

ELIMINATORS

Like I've said many times before, I'm just passing the word again that things are going to get pretty darn lively here in the next few episodes. So, expect to be a little confused about a great many things within the plot line...but don't worry, it will all be explained very quickly & in intense style.

It's a very important quality in any running show to have a stupendous Season Finale. Here on Angelika5 (A5), there is no exception. We have a real special surprise in store for the fans that have kept the series alive online. And I have to apologize that it was by my own design that things started off a little slow. But you may now have just started to appreciate why I did it in such a cautious style; building each individual character up in small ways, procuring a living feeling to each of them & leaving a little mystery in each to fill you with the need of wanting to know more.

With that, a new breed of bad guys are going to hit the Internet soon, in A5 they are called "Eliminators" & I have to tell you that it's the best cooked up thing since sliced bread. Their entry into the series will bring a whole new angle for fans to contend with; the best part is bringing up that "line" which I mentioned before that will have to be drawn by viewers when it comes to identifying who is a good guy & who are the bad. John & I spent years developing the concept of Eliminators, & I can guarantee that the final edited writings will simply make the series a new force on the web that will separate us from other online projects.

The A5 series has been a new writing experience for me, not having a reliable "existing" source of material for you to reference & for me to use in later "cerebral" writing efforts. Things are being presented to you with little explanation, but now the time for "explanation" is about to begin. I have received emails about the story lines "empty" attempts at explaining things. But as I had said many times before I even received those emails; "I wrote those stories like that on purpose."

I guess, making the series an online "interactive" experience gives fans a better chance to ask the questions they need & receive real answers from the maker; than what one might receive from actual television shows. This is something that I am learning from my experiences on working with online shows; the fans are realizing that they have real input on the show. Of course, their inputs will not affect A5's storyline, but it could affect the direction in the show's performance(s).
Just keep in mind that episode 8 is going to be the real start of things to take note on. I still have yet to receive an email concerning an attempt at solving the series, so I think I am on the right path of having everyone perplexed on what the main plot actually is...so much for anyone claiming that they can see through my storytelling.

After a long afternoon's work on the next episode of Angelika5 (A5), I came to a startling realization of sorts...either the series is getting too easy to produce, or the series is just too easy.

I am sure that the latter is completely wrong. I am feeling like the series is just a great avenue to bring in new talent & the series has this "open-arms" feel to welcome those new talents to help blossom the show to an entirely new level. By the meaning of being "easy to produce," the sole reason that the main cast is now comfortable in knowing their characters & are now able to deliver their performances with authority really expedites the processing of the production.

During the filming of episode 8, Maque [Garcia] & Brittany [Clark] were in a scene where their two characters share a little more information about their recent past. I remember when I was writing the scripts [back in November] & seeing the delivery in my mind; knowing that there is another small "clue" in the scene for later, I needed the actresses to pass that "clue" onto the camera in a very subtle way. The two actresses did the job perfectly & each time I watch the two in action during post-editing, being exposed to the magic really hits the mark with me.

I hope that the series is starting to show a balance between the characters. Where at one point the series may have looked like just another teen show, but with constant reminders of having only fifteen minutes to develop characters in each episode might have given strength to older viewers that better things were on the way. Of course, this is a Sci-Fi series so many of you might start seeing "that shift" that will bring the whole thing down together nicely in episode 8.

Older fans of the series really liked episode 7. Perhaps the focus on the parents was a strong need to have a better feel of the relationship between Art & Holly. Understand that the entire basis of the show is about "family" & the strength needed to get them through any adversity. Just about everyone knows that Angelika is no ordinary teen, there's something missing in her daily jaunts in life...or is there really anything missing at all? I guess that the more the series lives, the more you will learn about it.

One thing the cast & crew learned this weekend, it's darn HOT in Montgomery this Summer. Bringing in the supporting cast & some new talent for a difficult shoot near a concrete damn was nothing to brag about. The performances were crisp, the delivery done nicely, but we all were glad to wrap for the day at the peak of noon. The A/C in the Caravan was set on high as we hit the road back to the studio. We were so exhausted, that a planned photo shoot was cancelled until next weekend. Definitely not an easy part of the production!

On a final note, some of you may have noted a shift in the "Behind The Scenes" (BTS) Blog. After recent insight by some concerned family & friends, all of the Q Storm studio projects outside of the A5 series were moved to a separate blog on the home page, so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings about the production efforts on the series. Even though the studio is working on many projects outside of A5, we thought it best to keep things separated to prevent any confusion to the longevity of the series.

For reassurance to our fans, A5 has a long way to go & we are now just hitting mid-stream. With some of the summer vacations already taken, we should be back on a good schedule throughout summer in posting episodes every two weeks. The series is now going to get into some fantastic stories & a lot more secrets to the show are going to be revealed in just a few more episodes. So sit back & get ready for a roller coaster ride!
